Okay so guys I normally wouldn't think twice about moving away from Minneapolis for a job — unless it's a foreign country — but recently there was a "top 20 cities in America to live for jobs" or some crap in a magazine, and my mom showed me a clip she took on Portland.

I kinda dig the idea. I mean, there are places everybody wants to move. I mean, how awesome would it be to be one of the randoms at Montenegro when Bond comes to the casino? But we like to keep it realistic sometimes.

Now, you're saying "but sam, the homeless there are like 20-to-one," so I say "well maybe i can spit twenty times as much as you" but seriously, let's just ignore the homeless problem that Portland has

I can probably look the other way. I mean, I did in Osaka, didn't I?
(20-to-one is a misnomer, I meant more like every time I call the internet or gas companies to come fix something, they send a homeless person)

So let's talk about where everyone would want to move in this thread, and where everyone would realistically move in this thread!

    I bet all of the bikes in that shantytown are fixies. I'm almost certain those dudes toward the back are having band practice.

    I should move to southern Mexico and live on a beach and subsist on fishing. That's realistic right?

    a friend of mine was telling our group of friends about her experience being contacted by the government when a friend had applied to work for the CIA. apparently all of her friends had conspired to remind the CIA that said friend, because of her small and thin stature had been call "fat ass" in high school, was commonly referred to as such by her friends. now she has a line in her permanent federal record that reads: "known aliases: fat ass"

    I wish I worked for the government.

    Wanting specifically to move somewhere? Nah.

    Wait, which Portland? If it's Oregon, it doesn't have shit for jobs. I thought people were exaggerating before I moved there last year, and it turns out they weren't fooling. And now my stupid ass is back in Texas.

    I'd like to move back there though, with a job transfer or some shit, because Portland is a bitchin' city.
