Besides some port forwarding magic, you might be able to just go to the system admins and ask them to open them. Just say it's for an online game and they usually will (they would at my university, in fact I think when it came out I did this for coh)

Picked this up today on a good deal from work after getting the urge to jump around a cityscape like a doofus. Don't have the first clue about it, never tried the game before. Looking forward to spending entirely too much time making a character though!

Also if there is anything about City of Heroes I could change (other than caves) it would be to permanently disable the viewing of all other peoples names in any context whatsoever.

How's Dual Pistols from a gameplay perspective, anyway? As soon as this snafu with my password gets resolves I was gonna play that but I always worry about powersets being lame and unusable

Pretty sure you can disable the names displayed above people's heads, but you'll still see them if you target them, and in chat.

Anything that helps increase your damage throughput would be good, because the damage capability of KM seems to be pretty poor. At least compared to what I remember of Dark Melee.

Super Reflexes is still a little squishy early on, as any +DEF only set would be, but my lvl 50 Dark/SR scrapper now barely ever gets hit unless I'm on some huge team at max difficulty, and then there's usually a tanker taking most of the aggro anyway.
the great thing about SR is that I never have to wonder what kind of damage they're doing, because it doesn't matter.
also the extra global recharge and run speed is pretty nice.
The choices in the expansion areas are so awesome. Being a horrible, shameless fame hounding villain is the best thing ever.

The swap ammo ability augments all of your abilities with special effects, so you get small tastes of ice, fire, and I suppose radiation/toxic.
Only thing I don't like are the animations are a little slow compared to say, ice.
