Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

Jacob's nominees are both offline, so I've decided to take action!

This is a [chat] dedicated to bad acting and silly lines.

But why do movies have all the fun? Video games can be just as silly!

And so can Anime!

So never forget the power of silly scenes in media to entertain!

I may have misunderstood the situation. Maybe he had Bell's palsy and he hid out until it went away?

'Forbes' Billionaire List: JK Rowling Drops From Billionaire To Millionaire Due To Charitable Giving

Forbes, which has produced an annual list of billionaires for the past 25 years, said that the "Harry Potter" author dropped from billionaire to millionaire due to Britain's high taxes and her charitable giving.

Rowling's called One Parent Families, a nonprofit that empowers single-parent households, one of her favorite causes, according to Looktothestars.org. The organization provides child-care services and helps parents discover new job and education opportunities. The writer also founded her own charity, Lumos, which helps institutionalized and disadvantaged children in Eastern Europe.

“You have a moral responsibility when you’ve been given far more than you need, to do wise things with it and give intelligently," Rowling said, according to Mother Nature Network.

I really like my new job. Besides all the usual stuff, it is pretty cool working in a high-wage high-benefits job making something that gets exported to China (among other places).

What you think "makes sense" has nothing to do with reality. It just has to do with your life experience. And your life experience may only be a small smidgen of reality. Possibly even a distorted account of reality at that. So what this means is that, beginning in the 20th century as our means of decoding nature became more and more powerful, we started realizing our common sense is no longer a tool to pass judgment on whether or not a scientific theory is correct. - Neil Degrasse Tyson

If I were a billionaire, I would follow the lead of Murdoch and the Koch brothers and hijack myself a news network and political party, except I would use it to promote science-based policies and liberal social policies. I believe I could help a lot more people and do a lot more good that way than by giving it to charitable organizations.

I get the feeling we need to fund the sciences in a big way in order to keep civilization going in a positive direction. The opinion that science is a waste of money is insane and yet it seems to attract a large following of breathtakingly stupid people.
