oh, shit! MTMTE spoilers for all the issues released so far basically
The Duobots were presumably created as an Autobot counterpart to the Duocons, though with wheels on their legs and treads on their upper backs they don't appear to share that team's "air vehicle upper body combines with ground vehicle lower body" design scheme. Indeed, Shock's lament in "The Chaos of Warm Things" that he is now a "walking misnomer" might even suggest that instead of being two vehicles who form one robot, the Duobots are two robots who form one vehicle. And, in the artist's version of "authorial intent" Milne has confirmed on DeviantArt that he has designed a combined alt mode for the two, but is keeping it private for possible later publication.
and then there were the two Genericons Sonic and Boom who combined into a piece of audio equipment.

what the hell, the best issues of MTMTE were 4 and 5, that's butts
Ohhhhhhhhh, so that's why everyone loves the FE Cliffjumper mold.
Man oh man what I wouldn't give to have them just release all the damn microns here in the US. The Arm Microns figures with stickers plus the microns with stickers that you have to assemble yourself, I love everything about all of that.

In the Japanese version of "Predatory", the nature of what Airachnid refers to as her "collection" was substantially altered. The images of the alien monsters were removed and, to fit Airachnid's modified Japanese interpretation, her collection was said to consist of "cute boys" she had hunted and captured. She falls head over heels for Jack and becomes intent on making him the next addition to her boy harem, specifically.

In the Japanese dub of Prime, Airachnid's personality is completely different from her US interpretation. In the dub, she is a bubbly, giggling, high-strung chatterbox that is obsessed with collecting handsome boys as trophies. Played up as something of a female Pepe Le Pew, she constantly swoons over Jack, calling him her "hunk", her "darling", her "cutie Jack-chan" and various other lovey-dovey remarks as she amorously pursues him (even going so far as to sing love songs to him, mid-chase). While her sadistic qualities remain, she's played more like a creepy stalker girl than a vicious monster. Airachnid is dubbed by Ryōka Yuzuki, the actress who dubbed Beast Wars Black Widow and Animated Blackarachnia, and so many of the quirks she conceived for those characters (such as a habit of making a hissing tshaaaaa-- noise) are present. Likewise, the constant, incessant talking seems to be a throwback to the "adlibbing" prevalent in the Japanese dub of Beast Wars.
