As the year end everyone is preparing for family time and holiday cheer. Except for here where we are going to get really mad what some people's choice for Game of the Year.
and now i feel like i can't find the context for it anywhere
without it i love it all the same but is there a reason for the hypetrain??
Brad has previously been trying endlessly to get the achievement for that level where you complete it on the hardest difficulty. Before his he played it for several hours before giving up and this was his last shot before putting it to rest finally.
What makes it especially amazing is that this was the end to their 8 hour live show, and the Chariots of Fire theme was totally improvised by Vinny during the run, without knowing whether or not Brad would make it.
since people mentioned LOTRO in the last thread, I'd just like to say that was one of my favorite games because the way it let you play music with the in game instruments really created a fun sense of community, with players gathering around the crafting hall all jamming on their lutes.
it's also the source of one of my favorite moments: LOTRO let you create family ties with other players, including adopting them. I usually played with my brother, and he was ALWAYS trying to adopt me. he'd try to sneak it up on me, like when I was browsing my inventory I'd suddenly get the pop up "[Name] wants to adopt you. Y/N." I usually managed to click no, but once, in the middle of combat, with me trying to select an enemy, up pops that fucking prompt and I accidentally clicked Yes.
he immediately set his title to display as "[Name], Father of Scudo" and kept it like that for the rest of the time we played LOTRO (several months, at least)
So I think I know why Uncharted 3 is my favorite of the series. It uses every bit I love about it and discards the parts I don't. I think the best stories in the series are Nate and Sully's relationship and Nate and Elena as a couple. And I really don't like Chloe nearly as much as Elena and the mystic subplots, while not an inherently bad thing, were always way too ridiculous and goofy.
So UC3 which has a minimal amount of Chloe and a pretty restrained magical maguffin and also focuses on Nate andSully's history and giving a firm answer on Elena in Drake's life was basically designed to appeal to me.
Then again Last Crusade is my favorite Indiana Jones flick so maybe it is something about third installments in pulpy adventure series.
Also Charlie was a fantastic addition to the cast.

I'm sorry, Mori.
I was not quick enough.
It would've been funny
I'd buy that shirt.
Also I'm sorry this OP isn't that good, it kind of surprised me that we needed a new thread so quickly.

It's got a visceral feeling that I really like, and the agressive ass AI I've fought so far is pretty good at keeping me on my toes.
Plus I love cyberpunk and FPSs

The GOTY podcasts are always among the best Bombcasts of the year, at least the big Game of the Year ones are.
Steam
cuz people ranking their favorite things is probably down there with reddit w/r/t podcast topics
Mostly cause I don't care about the overall winner, more about what each person picked for their personal lists
Also my GOTY is Bulletstorm, all year every year
dark souls
assassin's creed 3
...
brink and saints row 3 were 2011, right?
