1) My capital never adopted a religion. I was on an island by myself and there were six religion city states on the main continent and like half the AIs took Piety. So I didn't get one. I did have a ten food Sun God pantheon that lasted for all of my cities until like 1700.
2) The only land unit I built the entire game was a scout. I built a Trireme and two Naos as far as ships went. Valletta was my entire source of real military units, not that I used them after barbarians were pacified.
3) My score was not good enough for Augustus Caesar ranking! I think that's the first game I've won where that hasn't happened. Boring diplo win, though I probably could have won by culture or space about as fast. The 10 turn detour into Globalization costs about as much as the last two space techs and the Portuguese ability had we just swimming in gold. I could have bought the whole thing.
Self-righteousness is incompatible with coalition building.
Good god. Won my first King difficulty game by the skin of my teeth. Ramses II was so far ahead in pretty much every imaginable aspect, and I had almost lost hope.
I wanted to go for a culture victory, but never managed to build the wonders needed for such a thing, so I shifted to science. At the end his culture victory was 1 turn behind my science victory. I had people starving in the streets of my cities, because I had everyone working overtime as specialists in the cities to push my science output to the max. The soil went untoiled.
In the end though, I diplomatically enticed Arabia (the one culture hold-out) to declare war on Egypt, and I won the game handily, with like a 10 turn advantage over Ramses II. I spat down on him all the way to Alpha Centauri, whilst laughing out loud maniacally.

It's strange that they all took piety but didn't bother proselytizing. I imagine if you had really wanted one you could have managed it via trade routes though.
The standard 6 man Pangaea game seems broken. I loaded it up and it gave me Mega's turn. Tried to revert, and it's reverted back to me but the save won't load. Can you revert it again @Goumindong (I think you are the host?)

I got it reverted, should be Korvalain's turn again.

Long live Pedro II! Long live Brasilia!
Pedro II was a really awesome emperor.
and the city names for Brasil in game are really confusing. they seem to have focused on picking secondary or not very big real cities for the list. It's really amusing.

Looks pretty decent to me. With the exception of São Gonçalo being absent and Rio and Sao Palo switched(likely due to Rio being a city state before Brazil's introduction) in order the first 21 or so are in order from largest to smallest by population and I am guessing that the rest are too.
I'm going to be starting a vacation on 3/27 and will be away from a computer with steam access until 4/5 or 4/6. Would it be be possible to have the turn timer turned off for that period for the 2 GMR games I'm involved in (Team Battle and PA Random Pangaea)?
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

@Veevee let us know when you will be unable to play your turns due to your vacation. I'm pretty sure I'm not the host of any of the games we're both in but I'll double check it to be sure.
I think the hosts are @KafkaAU for the pangaea game and @Goumindong for the team game. I'll hopefully be leaving on vacation in 43 hours, but probably more like 48.
I'll post when I get what I expect to be the last turn played
I'm up for another game, no preference, EXCEPT that I only have the civs on the basic, 1st and 2nd expansions. No DLC's.
I would also be up for small real-time 4-player (or another small number) games. Even in small doses (i.e. 20 turns per day).
Well the good news is that GMR just went into a brand new alpha release, and as part of that, everyone gets unlimited games until they can re-implement the feature to buy some more.

Looks like Random Pangea is borked - it loaded up for me on Rysk's turn instead of mine. Can someone revert?

I think #inuittowinuit is the greatest hashtag I've ever seen.

If I'm too late I may just take it as a sign I need to finally throw some money at GMR and start a new game
No preference.

My experience around here is that a game is never ever EVER resumed because you will never get everyone back together to play again.
If you do get everyone back together to continue the game then you shoulda spent that luck on powerball.
