Earthbound's Pokey = South Park's cartman

I mean, honestly, people!

They're both short, fat, obnoxious children hellbent on taking over the world!

This thread is for characters in fiction you feel are inspired by video game characters, and vice versa.

    No, not really.

You see, Pokey actually had depth of character. From Mother 2 to Mother 3 he evolved from a wussy shy guy to a power hungry fool.

Cartman has been the same one dimensional character for 10 years.

I bet in the next South Park episode, Cartman bitches about Jews.

Nah... in the first episode of South Park he was just "cheesey poofs cheesey poofs" and "no kitty this my pot pie!" and stuff.

Then if you go look at that Scott Tenorman episode, you see that Cartman has become a lot smarter... no?

They should make an OK Computer video game. The goal would be avoiding contact with people. The final boss would be Neurosis.
also, there is nothing you can do to defeat the final boss

They did. They were forced to change the mask to a red mask in the Sega Genesis version.

The Turbo Grafx and Arcade versions still have the white mask, though.

Soundtrack release? Did they release the Mother 3 soundtrack over here with no game to go with it?

Also, PowerLlama is right about the comment I made. I don't care about spoilers like Pokey being an arse, I care about actually having an english cart that says Earthbound 2 with the Nintendo Seal of Approval slapped on it.

Not one, but two different soundtracks.
