According to the staff podcast, that comic con set is actually the 'Summer set' NOT exclusive to the show.
And theres going to be something that can be described as some sort of swap meet, they mentioned a table of random pins and people can just go there, look around and trade what they want. More info in the latest staff podcast.

Yeah, when I went to East this year they had that set up. I remember Prime 2013 the impromptu trading event in Benaroya just sort of occurred, but with East they planned for it. Two staff members were paired up at a big foldout table, with all sorts of pins strewn about the surface. Some were more organized than others (Khoo), and some (like Mike's) were just sort of clusters of whatever. I think it was Brian's table that he had them turned down, and you had to trade him a pin and then randomly select one.
It was pretty fun. A group of three guys came up and didn't have pins but wanted to get in on it, so I gave them each a pin and explained to them the finer points of trading and what they should look for. It was a nice time. ^_^

Has it been confirmed yet that if it does sell out at SDCC they will make more of them to put on the store? I just double checked the staff podcast and Brian said that "if they have any left," those will be put up on the store. Don't mean to cause concern, but stuff tends to sell out quite frequently at SDCC.

Hasbro stuff sells out, or other high money collectibles. There will be pinny collectors there, sure. But not being a PAX I would be shocked if they sold out of the pins. And because they are not listed as a ComiCon Exclusive, that sounds to me like they ordered plenty.

Looks like there might be a DLC pin floating around too, Brian is going to get SWAMPED. Personally that's not information I would share publicly haha poor guy.

I think this is because this is the last Comiccon they'll be doing, so they want to go out with a bang. And I suspect that's not the only DLC they have floating around, either.

I was kinda thinking the same thing honestly. You'd think if they had an extra DLC they would at least save that for one of their cons.
If i had a super rare and desirable pin I wanted to unload, I might choose to take it where the demand might be a bit less, but where I knew there would still be fans as well. Just to reduce the amount of people asking about it.

Well Jerry said that he found it among the things he brought back from AUS, I'd think that he wasn't really saving them but just had them stashed away without thinking about them and just happened to stumble upon them now and be all like "oh cool, well I guess I better get them into circulation"
I really do think that come PAX AUS we will have a lot more pumped back into the community as I don't think a lot of Aussies know what they are sitting on
