Man they really did save the worst for last with Shovel Knight

The clockwork stages and the flying stages are both hot smelly poop

The Specter Knight stage with the lights out killed me far to many times.

I wish I liked shovel knight as much as other people

I don't even remember the stages vow is talking about

Yeah as the game goes on it leans more heavily on instant death pit traps, which are not the funnest things ever.

Once you get past those two levels it's gravy again

The final tower is really fun and challenging so far, though on the whole I feel the game has been waaaaaaay too easy

See, this is why I know I can never ever trust reviewers on racing games

They praise Forza and Need for Speed up and down, even though they're the most unwieldy, unfun-to-play racing games I've ever spent time with

I'm playing the demo for The Crew and this game feels right, like damn, I wasn't expecting it to feel this good

I'm actually contemplating dropping the $40 for it on Amazon tonight

The Crew feels significantly less arcadey than NFS to me

I'm actually having a lot of fun with Rivals now that I've got the feel for the driving
I don't know that I would argue it's super realistic

If I'm spinning out a lot, I'm not having fun

I spin out a lot in GT, Forza and NFS

I don't spin out at all in Burnout and The Crew

  • Options

I haven't spun out since maybe the first hour playing Rivals
But hey, to each his own

That makes me excited for the Crew a bunch

    I too hate spinouts

40 isn't as much as I thought but I've just bought way too damn much lately, and haven't finished it all either.

I wish I hadn't been so turned off my paradise

I really really loved 3 and they changed a whole lot

they were smart changes though, I suppose

I should go back and play more because it still plays wonderfully

    3 was really, really good

But I was never a fan of Crash mode so I didn't care at all that it was excluded, and the benefits would have outweighed it anyways even if I did, I think

The biggest bummer for me with Burnout Paradise is the PC version didn't seem to have any of the cool DLC like the fake back to the future car and stuff.

I won't go as far as saying I don't like Burnout Paradise, but it's not my favorite Burnout. Specifically because of the "find your own way there" races.

I really really liked Driver: San Fransisco for quite a while, and I played it not long after burnout and thought it was a better game.

But then I finished the story, and decided to mess around in the overworld, and the funnest thing to do was to start police chases but one of the conversations that can trigger when you possess a police car is about how one of the police in there was "born a man" and it just makes a bunch of shitty jokes about it and it really turned me off the whole game.
