one of the things that i'm apprehensive about regarding ds3 is that i feel like we've basically hit nearly peak weapon diversity in a souls game and there's not going to be anything new to get excited about there

My favorite thing to do is to take a specific tool and figure out how to kill anything in the entire world with it

But I wasn't excited about Fallout 4 either, and now I've been playing it for nearly 3 weeks straight

The Souls games are the only series in which my goal is to find the heaviest armor, biggest sword and blockiest shield and just go to town

Every other game just doesn't do it justice for me, which is pretty nuts.

my favorite thing about the souls games is exploring the environments

that's why I didn't bother playing bloodborne: the setting didn't appeal to me at all

so as long as ds3 delivers me another cool fantasy world to explore, I'm not worried about the mechanical changes or improvements much at all

i played through scholar of the first sin in light armour and was pretty proud of myself for doing so

the problem with ds1 was that the best armour, ciaran's, wasn't obtainable till late

On the opposite end of the spectrum it did ask me to compare Dark Souls and a Final Fantasy game and boy that wasn't an easy choice either

I did a light armor run in dark souls 1 but I never got comfortable enough with the parry timing in ds2 to attempt it there

Funny, that's where I put persona 4. Tied with a ton of other games I haven't played.

The lack of Soul Reaver hurts me deeply.

I keep wanting to do a streaming let's play of it but I can't get the PC version to stream right at all, OBS just can't hook into legacy Direct X right? It sucks.

i kind of hope they keep with no equip loads like in the play test, watching that stuff combat was so fucking fast and stupid. it was amazing.

there's too many games I haven't played in this list

not sure if I should pick a game I have played and don't remember very fondly vs. a game I have never played, should I pick one that I think I would like more if I played it if I get two options I've never played, etc.

also apparently sonic 2 is one of my tied for 10th place things but I don't recall it ever asking me to compare sonic 2 to anything
