looks like I am buying thermal paste. I am kinda nervous about doing this.
Don't eat it.
Interesting - I was going to suggest getting a sugar-based one. It'll taste better.

Also by thinking about it so hard you have applied too much to your CPU and should wipe some of the excess off. You're just trying to fill in the itty bitty gaps between the very flat bottom of the heat sink and the very flat top of the CPU. If you use too much, it will conduct heat less well.
Seriously? what are you doing? That's way too much, stop.
does anyone use wireless headphones at their computer?

Oh, this is something I can weigh in on - I've been using a pair of Sennheiser HDR 170s for a couple of years now. They're not gaming headphones, so they lack an inbuilt mic (may be an issue for some, I use an external mic so it doesn't bother me), but they have excellent sound quality and long battery life.

Is it even possible to put out the fires in the WoW Hallow's Eve event? Old world is so abandoned I haven't seen more than 1 or 2 people doing it so far.

omg that's why we can hear your loud typing on Owatch! :P
hm yeah I need a built in mic but Sennheiser is a good brand I'll look to see what they've got
They are the best I've ever owned and I've had a lot of different brands and models over the years.
It's 7.1. Fantastic sound for gaming and movies/TV/porn. Decent battery life and charges quickly. Blocks out other sound pretty well. And the microphone is good, too.

Home PC or for work?
Home PC, gaming and such
I like my Logitech G930
They're comfy, pretty good sound quality from the mic, I get a little over six hours of battery on a full charge and if I need longer than that all I have to do take a second to plug in the micro USB
Only real complaint is that the LED in the microphone that indicates whether you're muted or not died about a year after I got them. Not a huge loss but I was surprised how useful that was.
They were spendy at $160 but I just checked the price and apparently Amazon has them $90 off right now so now I'm considering ordering a new pair because man now I miss that little LED all over again :P

this heat sink is finnicky to set. 2 pins go in easy the other 2 are jerks. I don't want to force it down with fresh paste.
Oh okay.

Plus, that price on Amazon is a steal.
Just when I thought I'd forgotten how bad the graphics were on the Genesis

My guess would be because $300 is a lot for headphones :P
I sleep all day, look at my tv and listen to headphones. So I recommend good things there.
But $300 for something you'll use for 5 years is not expensive with a median income. I drop $100 a day on stupid shit.
Skimp on shit that doesn't matter
But... what if you aren't an audiophile?
$40 haircut
$12 lunch
$10 movie
$20 beers at movie
Yes I am ahead of the curve on retirement and personal savings.
TREAT YO SELF. (Also sig is a lawyer you know)
I will look at the A50s and compare them to other things like a normal internet consumer
Well that doesn't look good.
No, that doesn't look good at all.
If I was an audiophile I would not recommend Astros guaranteed
@Podly
But man they're so versatile and good
Audiophile you need to go way deeper and not be wireless #1
