Yeah thanks @ElementWrath@cB557@Local H Jay and Wraith134 (don't know his forum handle) for doing some custom game stuff. It was fun but we needed more people, the chaotic stupidity was pretty minimal once Jay left. We also learned that 2v2 is never going to be my game mode but I'm fine with mayhem rumble and moderately fine with regular rumble.
Also the gunsmith test weapons are hot trash, holy shit.
Edit: In that mayhem Rumble game I also found out that suncharge will track backwards because ElementWrath suncharged me out of my Fist of Havoc three frickin times in the same match and at least once I was behind him.
Next time up we're trying Joust, two people line up on either side of the catapults on Crossroads with swords and try to hit each other out of mid-air. Likely also duck hunt, people line up with snipers and try to shoot people out of mid-air, as they fly out of the catapults on Crossroads.
Probably non-crossroads stuff too, more rumble, we can all try hard and exploit the meta and whatever.
Edit: In that mayhem Rumble game I also found out that suncharge will track backwards because ElementWrath suncharged me out of my Fist of Havoc three frickin times in the same match and at least once I was behind him.
Gunsmith weapons are trash, but when gunsmith weapons are all anyone else has as well (and as long as someone doesn't turn on LL advantage for some reason) I actually think they still make for a fun match.
Ran my first raid in Destiny ever last night, WotM NM with some randoms from destinylfg. Ended up actually going pretty well except we had to call it on Aksis p2 because it was getting pretty long and we had a.. weak link.

Had a lot of fun dueling with no land beyond. The rules are simple; back to back, countdown 3-2-walk and walk on "walk", turn around on the designated point, no jumping or ducking or rolling but you can strafe. Winner stays in.
Spent a little time this afternoon booting a couple of members who have been inactive for 6+ months to make room for anyone who wants to jump over to Pax Arcadia Prime on the PS4 side.
@initiatefailure, @Arch, @Dyvim Tvar, @august, @RizenFenix1293 - and/or anyone else I'm missing - please let me know if you want to bounce from PA2 to PA1 so that I can approve the requests. I think we have three spots open right now.
Played some Crucible this afternoon... grenaded myself during my first life because I forgot how to ADS, then carried my team to victory (eh, kinda). Good times.

No real upgrades given the stats on the stuff and the fact that I was already 392 from faction packages walking in. Nice to get some exposure to the raid though. Very interesting to see how they put something like this together in an FPS.
I'd be looking forward to IB except I don't have any meta PvP weapons. My next level strategy is to die repeatedly until my grenade or super are up and then carry the team to victory (read:overcome my horrendous point deficit) on a 5-kill streak.

When you don't have any good PvP rolls, it's hard to go wrong with a shotgun, sniper, or sidearm.
So I've heard iron banner is a good way to get from 385 to 400. So I'll likely be doing it as much as I'm home.
Also the sniper I got from using my first Skelton key before knowing what their deal with is apparently a god roll. So yay? I need to find a non exotic primary I like though because the exotics are too expensive to give tiny incrimental upgrades to.

Dreadnaught, Rings of Saturn Assault a prison deep in the heart of the Dreadnaught and put an end to a Hive champion.
Modifiers
Epic - Heavily shielded and highly aggressive enemies appear in great numbers.
Arc Burn - Arc Damage from any source is greatly increased.
Specialist - Special Weapon damage is favored.
Juggler - No ammo drops for your equipped weapon.
Airborne - Players deal more damage while in the air.
That seems pretty ok? As these things go? You could get gangbanged by some thralls but assuming you can avoid that it doesn't seem bad.
Simulant update: I just need the warsat on Mars and to run that mission on Venus and I should get it. Now I just need some buds to run the Black Spindle mission with and I'll have the weird mission specific exotics.

It's kind of a hilarious hand cannon. I don't know if it's good but rapid fire hip fire and cowboy gun flips are making me laugh a lot.

The biggest downside is that Wizards and Boomer Knights are really going to hurt. Come to think of it, Thrall melee is an arc ability, as well.
