i didn't see the show but it should be kept in mind that they're not always right
they "busted" the idea of splitting an arrow with another arrow but i have seen this happen more than once
What, all the way from nock to tip? 'cause in the first one they showed a bunch of split arrows but none of them were all the way like in Robin Hood, and they said that's what they were going for
It's definitely true that they're wrong sometimes, but then they're a couple of special effects nerds playing at TV science while attempting to find ways to blow shit up, so I can forgive
I do not believe this is possible. Or if it is, it is the most insidious infiltration tactic ever. Well except for the fact that albinos stick out like a sore thumb.
best i can figure is that they just didn't get lucky when they used real arrows (it's not like you can do it with regularity and it is unlikely) and when they started using dowels at point blank they did not break along a single continuous grain boundary that went all the way from end to end
also when i saw this happen (on two occasions) it was with composite arrows. not wooden ones. i have no idea if it would have been possible with oldschool wood arrows

I saw them speak when they came to IUP.
They showed an outtake from the 'is cereal less nutricious than the box it comes in' myth where one of the mice/rats/whatevs ate the other one because it was given to cardboard to eat.
I them.

Did they show any of the banned episode about lighting farts on fire?
That's pretty much the best thing ever caught on film.

it's adam in a home-made chair with stirrups lighting his own farts on fire

I love this show, and the episode was entertaining, but fucking christ biscuits the catching an arrow one made me so mad. The rig was fantastic, but the bow was what? Four? Five feet away from the robo-hand?

Plus, my birthday is on july 1, so when I'm done fucking around with it I can light fireworks off in it.

Let them eat cake!
It's on the MythBusters website
You must have been lucky, I was never attracted to any girls I went to school with.
All they have shown is that Adam and Jamie are not ninjas. Or at least they are pretending not to be ninjas. :P
aka Ninjas
uh, wrong
Jamie is the robot
the Ask a Ninja Ninja even observed this when he greeted them
geez
just look at him
walrus robot
This is real facial hair
These are fiber-optics
Jamie peers into your soul.
is adam an albino ginger?

And what the fuck was up with those
Im conflicted. I love the show, but I love ninjas, and they're saying ninjas aren't half as cool as I know they are.
And to demonstrate this very difficult technique I'm going to jump in with both feet at once HEY I'M SINKING BUSTED BUSTED BUSTED

Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
Any episode where they go diving is great because Jamie's moustache sticks out of the wetsuit and makes him look like a walrus.
