An educational(silly) video about Web 2.0

My friend and I made a silly educational video about the evolving Intrawebs for a class project.
Its purpose is to educate the ignorant masses on the subject of Web 2.0.
If you're a fan of geek culture you'd probably find it amusing. It's embedded on this page.

This entire thing was made with 2 people, a mandolin, a digital camera, and a crappy computer mic ;) .

    i have based my opinions on this subject on actual encounters!

    there was a dude at fanexpo last year who was all like "web 2.0 future of internet lol socializing as we know it is changing"

    and i am like

    "hey so what's the real estate value of your second life property"

    and he's like "oh man, like, a couple hundred bucks. hey, do you have an account too?"

    and i just could not stop laughing

    I don't know too much about it, but I was talking to a friend today and he said that there were actually some significant technical changes in the whole Web 2.0 thing that made it actually have some definition beyond a buzzword to describe the fact that there are now videos and blogs and good search engines.

    yeah but those changes are like a bunch of minor, largely unrelated things and the whole "web 2.0" label is so pretentious and nonsensical and actually misleading that as a term i discard it entirely

    In the Web 2.0 world the only technical changes are new protocols or updated protocols for web services to facilitate the Web 2.0 bullshit.

    Internet2, which is completely different, is actual advanced Wide Area Network technologies.

    AJAX, user created content, click driven revenue and a host of related technologies that are commonly labeled web 2.0 are very, very not minor
