It would probably surprise you to learn that many (all) of those images are ones that I got from other photobuckets. The only two that are in my own account are facing the normal direction.

We went to the Penny Arcade Panel instead >_>
they didn't play an episode. they handed out this futurama comic about how the're making more episodes, and they showed that on the big screens while katy sagal, billy west, john dimaggio and the kif guy did the voices. it was pretty awesome, actually.
then they answered questions, the longest one being about where inspiration came from for the various voices. believe it or not, most of the voices have really interesting stories to them. like zap brannigan was inspired by phil hartman and billy west joking about old time radio actors.
Oh my god so we finally got home this morning around 8:45am. It was a really easy drive. Just super super long. Also, man, if you dont know a friend super well first, don't go on a fucking 2 day road trip with them. I was quite seriously a few more self-absorbed comments away from just flat out yelling at her. Though whippy did totally lay into her when we were listening to miss saigon soundtrack and she made some lame comment trying to be funny. She kinda kept looking over at me for support and I just kept shrugging and trying my damndest to not just laugh in her face.
Otherwise the con was really great. I got Brian Froud (art director from Labyrinth, co-creator of Dark Crystal) to finally sign my books of his and pretty much just fan-girled all over his face (I also met Toby Fround - The baby from Labyrinth - and also fin girled him because oh man he is a very attractive young mand and has an accent and his dad is a great artist and oh my god...). I also got Mike/Gabe to sketch a LoZ Link for me and it is so great and Link looks so pensive. Also, the futurama panel was so fantastic! I also hung out with a friend from way back almost the whole con and man oh man it was great. Oh and we also got free tickets to the symphony and got to hear the SanDiego symphony play a fantastic collection of pieces from star wars - Thank you Mr. Khoo!
So yeah. I had a really fun time. Now we have to go to the vet and see Whippy's kitty who has had a hell of a week and I'm not sure how much longer kitty is going to live. Wheee.

It was one of my favourite moments. She had been making these comments trying to point out inconsistencies and calling the male lead a cock and stuff. It was well deserved.
And by that I mean to remind people of the moment when the truck drove by with Port-a-potty's for some other event going on and T&E encouraged people to just hop on the moving truck if they needed to poop
