    My first name was chosen by my mom who was still high off the birth drugs at a time, and she wanted to put together her name and my dad for something completely unique.

    Everyone knows me as the spanish word for boy.

    as i said in the other thread, i was beaten up a bit for my name, seymour, and my last name, which means dicks, (which got me dumped in a compost heap!) so i usually just take my father's name for my last name, instead of my mother's.

    it also gets some pretty interesting spellings- i have been spelt seemore, seamore, seamoore, etc.

    People compliment me on my name all the time. Then I tell them my middle name, and they say thats awesome too. They I tell them my real, legal first name, and they say thats super awesome.

    My first name is a bit old-fashioned and very girly, which has never suited me. My last name however is awesome to an extent that every now and then someone thinks I'm joking.

    I knew a boy named Frances in school, that's the only person I can recall being made fun of for their name.

    wouldnt be as much of a thing if i had met these people in different places but they are all doing engineering with many shared classes and at least 6 of them are decent friends with eachother and hang out
