I recently rented all 8 of the After Dark Horrorfest Films To Die For. i found them all really good. i'm actually just finishing them up. The Abandoned is playing on my T.V. while i surf the net.
my mind is blown and I am left with a rather large erection
While I totally know what you mean, my friend just saw it and thought it was terrible. Is there any hope for him or should I just kill him tomorrow?
Beat the hell out of him.
t simo: i bought it cause i figured it would be good like Shaun of the Dead, but i thought it was waaaaaay better. i saw shaun of the dead and knew it would be good, and it was, but only cause it came recommended from here, and i liked it, but i kind of ignored what everybody said about this and when i saw it i enjoyed it greatly.

yea, i'll probably buy it eventually. i only saw it once so i'm sure i'll like it even more on a second viewing.
I want to see Sunshine, but it's completely, absolutely gone from theaters now, and it was never in that many to begin with.
I hope it comes out on DVD soon.
august 27th for the uk so i imagine around the same date world wide
nah not necessarily. it premiered here like last month, which places it on a similar time table to children of men. meaning it should come out in america on dvd in a few months.
with regards to the actual movie
clearly someone else made the last 1/3 of the movie, because there is no way danny boyle created 2/3 of one of the best sci-fi movies of all time and then made a retarded monster movie ending. i refuse to accept this.

I am Amazon.co.uk-ing it to be honest, my PC is region free with DVDs (I think all PCs are.) and I honestly watch a lot of things on my monitor as it is, so it won't be a major departure in viewing.

Dude. It was still good.
if i watched a whole movie like that i would probably go 'hey that's neat'
as it is i feel a great deal of potential and momentum were completely and utterly squandered
it was a pretty and well-made movie from start to finish, though
Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter licks nuts. When it came out, our local "college-aged" theater snapped it up and I went with some buddies. The ATROCIOUS sound, alone, is enough to ruin it. If they re-dubbed it, I'd give it another chance. Can't remember much, though. Been years.
On a side note, Bruce Campbell went to that same theater for...umm...I think it was called "The Man with the Screaming Forehead". Was that it? I took the day off of work for that, and the experience was grand. I touched the Bruce's hand. ME! His pre-movie commentary was hilarious, also. They need to hit him up with a personal trainer and do either Evil Dead 4 or Freddy versus Jason versus Ash. Rumors begone!

Bones had some A+ talent involved behind the camera.
Well, and in front of it, too.
I almost always see movies more for the 'fine print' names than the cast.
Screenwriter(especially), cinematographer, composer(especially), etc.
Like, I'm okay with a sequel if it's not directed by the same person as the first, as long as the original team had some part on it.
Though, that didn't save RE: Apocalypse from mediocrity.
Then again, from what I read, Paul W.S. Anderson's script did kind of suck.
not only do I own it, I sent it to Filler last year as a secret santa gift!
Proably one of the most dissappointing purchases of my life.

I loved Ronin so much.
And the commentary was amazing. What a loss.

Just randomly saw it while browsing through an HMV.
