Have you ever seen Subway, Ori?

I love that movie so much.

    nope! what's it about

It's like a new French New Wave movie by Besson.

I think it was one of, if not, his first movie.

Stars Christopher Lambert. He ruins some rich guy's party and steals something from him.

Runs underground to a subway station and has adventures with various people that live there, all the while putting a band together and scheming.

I actually have an extra copy on DVD, it's dubbed and not the best quality, but I can just send it to you if you want.
    holy hell

    it sounds perfect

There's been some very well made horror movies before.

Bones had some A+ talent involved behind the camera.
Well, and in front of it, too.

I almost always see movies more for the 'fine print' names than the cast.

    Screenwriter(especially), cinematographer, composer(especially), etc.

Like, I'm okay with a sequel if it's not directed by the same person as the first, as long as the original team had some part on it.

Though, that didn't save RE: Apocalypse from mediocrity.

Then again, from what I read, Paul W.S. Anderson's script did kind of suck.

I should see more of John Frankenheimer's films.

    I loved Ronin so much.

nah not necessarily. it premiered here like last month, which places it on a similar time table to children of men. meaning it should come out in america on dvd in a few months.

with regards to the actual movie
clearly someone else made the last 1/3 of the movie, because there is no way danny boyle created 2/3 of one of the best sci-fi movies of all time and then made a retarded monster movie ending. i refuse to accept this.

I am Amazon.co.uk-ing it to be honest, my PC is region free with DVDs (I think all PCs are.) and I honestly watch a lot of things on my monitor as it is, so it won't be a major departure in viewing.

if i watched a whole movie like that i would probably go 'hey that's neat'

as it is i feel a great deal of potential and momentum were completely and utterly squandered

it was a pretty and well-made movie from start to finish, though

Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter licks nuts. When it came out, our local "college-aged" theater snapped it up and I went with some buddies. The ATROCIOUS sound, alone, is enough to ruin it. If they re-dubbed it, I'd give it another chance. Can't remember much, though. Been years.

On a side note, Bruce Campbell went to that same theater for...umm...I think it was called "The Man with the Screaming Forehead". Was that it? I took the day off of work for that, and the experience was grand. I touched the Bruce's hand. ME! His pre-movie commentary was hilarious, also. They need to hit him up with a personal trainer and do either Evil Dead 4 or Freddy versus Jason versus Ash. Rumors begone!
