I have been in the position of lab tech twice and they were completely different jobs.
for this one, i babysit about 20 high-end mac workstations, and don't do much else. in my other lab tech spot (i would be called TA, but since i am not a grad student they do not want to pay me as much and call me a lab tech) i actually tech them things about programs on the computers. very very simple things, they babies would understand, but these fuckups can't.
I have been a Computer Lab tech and god was it an easy, but still fun, job.
I played a deal of WoW there, as well, before I saw the light.
i have played wow, and quit it. and now that i have started again i think i have found a good medium. when i am busy, i do not play, but when i have leisure time, i will play it, much like i play my ds. 'oh look, i am bored, i will play a game.' i haven't even played in the last few days other than to check my mail. but we'll see how long my resolve holds.
i am trying to keep a firm hold on this. haha
