In a surprise twist after a chaotic Super Tuesday, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) passed Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) in network tallies of the number of delegates the candidates racked up last night.
The Obama camp now projects topping Clinton by 13 delegates, 847 to 834.
NBC News, which is projecting delegates based on the Democratic Party's complex formula, figures Obama will wind up with 840 to 849 delegates, versus 829 to 838 for Clinton.

All the projected polls I have seen have been off completely

So after Saturday he will most likey be ahead in states and delegates
but
after that is Maine which could go either way as it is a caucus but also part of Hilary's home turf
and then Maryland and Virginia primaries where I think Hilary will probably win
I swore when the primaries came up, I wouldn't care. They don't matter. They're just fancy poles. I can't effect what some guy in Wichita thinks about X or Y.
And then when they raised their ugly head, there I was, playing the game. Probably should have seen this coming.
they should settle this with a good old fashioned gladiatorial battle ala star trek

In my state California, there are more fiscal conservatives
But there are also a lot of Swarzenegger-loving, moderate conservatives that lead to McCain winning.
while i recognize how easy it would be to beat huckabee in a general election and thus have some reason to hope he wins the nomination, i also find it depressing as hell that so many people support him

He's essentially become a spoiler for Romney but I don't think he's gonna end up as McCain's running mate
He'd be too devisive and scare away a lot of McCain's support

everyone who's uninformed seems to
so... basicly everyone
he's also black AND white
(psst, Dru, you might want to go to D&D if you're expecting rational conversation)

but man even with the superdelegates counted, Obama is up? Awesome
It sounds like he got a much better breakdown than expected.

States that generally back Obama on the deomcratic side back Romney on the republican side
and states that back Clinton back McCain on the republican side
That's because Obama and McCain are pulling more votes away from moderates leaving the party faithful to vote for their respective opponents

lots of states that backed obama backed huckabee
Same reason, depends on whether the Republican base in the state are Social Conservatives or Fiscal Conservatives
