    uh, substrate is not the same as reactant

    substrate refers specifically to what an enzyme is acting upon

    reactant lacks that specificity

    Pistol shrimp are wicked. If I had the time and money, I'd create an entire underwater Old West mining town, pistol shrimp constantly dueling each other, rancher and miner shrimp getting caught in the crossfire and bartender shrimp running the saloon.
