So the next disaster flick by Roland Emmerich is coming out in the fall. Full trailer was released that shows all sorts of crazy shit going down. Volcanoes, earthquakes, continental shelfs doing things, mass suicides, meteors, tidal waves coming over Mount Everest, the downfall of Catholicism, apparently the longest plane escape scene in history,and John Cusack. And President Danny Glover. Bonus points if he mentions how he's getting too old for this shit.

Here's to hoping it will be more disastery than The Day After Tomorrow which was man and son reconnecting and oh by the way there's bad weather.

5 minute clip. Definitely disastery. Somehow worse acting than The Happening. I'm not sure how it exists in this Euclidean dimension.

    I think the "earliest civilization" bit was to shoehorn the gross misunderstanding of the Mayan calendar into it. Or something.

    I don't think I can see this movie in good conscience.

    edit: It actually looks like it might have been around in some form when Mesopotamia was.

    But still, the 2012 thing is irritating.

    The amount of physical destruction is just beyond what I could easily suspend my belief. It's like they are blowing these natural disasters to such proportions just to say.
