Hah! holy cow look at this operation flashpoint mod...
"UNKNOWN, DINOSAUR, AT, ELEVEN, O'CLOCK!" :P
"INCOMING... METEOR. AT... THREE... O'CLOCK!"
"OH NO! APATOSAURUS... IS DOWN!"
"ANKYLOSAURUS... IS DOWN!"
"TRICERATOPS... IS DOWN!"
"ALLOSAURUS... IS DOWN!"
I also beat the Jurassic Park on SNES by playing it a lot with my friends, drawing out the fps sections on graph paper, and taking notes. hXc kids.
I find this somewhat more believable
it helps infinitely to have notes on when there's gonna be a raptor to your right or left that you can't see when you open a door.
i also really liked the lost world game for genesis. it was top-down and i beat it... but i really couldn't tell you at all what the game played like. i should try and find a copy (or at least a youtube video to see that i'm not horribly wrong)
That looks awesome. And either I'm drugged or I can't tell what the fuck is going on. But it seems really ahead of it's time intellectually.
Oh it was. You started the game as a fish and could eventually evolve into a human though I think I ended the game as some sort of terrible flying monster with pointy teeth and claws.
I almost liked the original JP arcade game better. I doubt anyone will remember this in detail, but it was 6 player X-Men era, and instead of lightguns, it had joysticks with triggers. You had an on-screen reticule and it was on-rails. There were some awesome levels where you would be chased by a TRex (whilst in a Jeep), and in order to prevent him from fucking you up you had to hit 5-6 identified spots on it within a certain amount of time.
...I thought I was the only one. That game ruled. Proof: there are dinosaurs with sunglasses and leather jackets in this game. Not quite flying an F14 but it was 1993.
fuck
I fucking loved this game
immediately thought of this game when I read the thread title. This game was fun and pretty tough from what I remember.

Highlights of the game include:
-Being a dinosaur
-Killing dudes
-Evolving based on how you killed dudes
Zoo Tycoon Dinosaur Digs was also the best Jurassic park simulator ever.
