What the fuck man. I think you need to go in for a checkup. Your brain is defective.
For me it's not about the looks. To compare we have one b-list actress who was the most badass action chick ever vs. some actress who has never made a movie I liked. Then again I still haven't seen Millionaire Dollar Baby, but meh.
Zombieland is building some amazing buzz (and it's a zombie comedy, so I was sold anyway) and The Invention of Lying seems oddly interesting for some reason.
All of them treading the line of good taste. Fuck yeah, that's how we roll.
I fucking loved Antichrist. Haven't seen Bronson yet, but Nicolas Winding Refn is a director whose movies I will not miss. I actively avoid Lone Scherfig. If if gets rave reviews or something I might check out.

Jennifer Ganier is one of those people I just can't stand to watch and for some reason I've never found Ricky Gervais amusing but the trailers for Lying make me kind of curious. Really though, I had to watch the trailer a couple times to figure out what the hell was going on.

So Boondock Saints 2 is actually happening? Huh. Never thought I'd see the day.
Hmm, would like to see "Whip It" for Drew Barrymore's directorial debut plus Ellen Page is so likeable. Also "New York, I Love You" because I'm obsessed with Shia LaBeouf. Yup.
God fucking dammit, my area doesn't get ANY movies I want to see
Last I heard, Japan wasn't even getting a release of District 9. And Inglorious Basterds isn't out here until late November.
On topic, I really wanna see Zombieland! And, oddly enough, Astro Boy. Curious to see how it turns out.
badly
Oh yeah, might go see Whip It tomorrow night cause the local roller derby group is doing some exhibitions and shit before the movie starts so I'm getting dragged along just cause I'm curious as to what that's all about.
also, Saw 6?! Ugh. (I initially read the note as featuring Dr. Gordon Freeman and was confused)
I know. I want to know who keeps greenlighting those things and get them some professional help because making six versions of a torture-porn movie franchise has got to be some sign of emotional disability.

I have a new soccer blog The Minnow Tank. Reading it psychically kicks Sepp Blatter in the bean bag.

I think it's perfectly rational because they're probably still making money, and that's ultimately all that matters in terms of what gets greenlit.

Yes, it's not the people who keep making them that need professional help, but the people who keep watching them.

And that says that the American moviegoing populace needs psychiatric help.
No it won't be. Here's what I told Gim when he asked about this thread: You can have a movie release awareness thread. If you've seen a movie and want to talk about it, make a thread for that movie. If you watched some DVDs, that discussion doesn't belong here. We're not having a current releases mega-thread.

This statement is beyond wrong and goes into near slander
The Saw series is basically a little-bit-gory thriller

Little bit gory? Uhh I don't think you know what little means, at least compared to normal not fucked up movies.

Wow, more out this month than I thought there was. I'm just going to focus just on this week... Zombieland. Worry about the rest of the month as it gets here.

Why no love for the Toy Story 3D rereleases? I sat through all three hours feeling like a kid all over again, it's difficult to imagine that the first one was Pixar's very first film. I was glad to see I wasn't the only adult in the theatre; most people didn't even have kids with them.
And really, if you don't cry during the Jessie flashback, you have no soul.

It's holding up ok on RT so far. I have high hopes for it being a deliciously quotable action movie, so I will keep my fingers crossed.

Wiki's synopsis of the plot may be the most disturbed thing I've ever read.
fist pound brosef, fuck the haters Saw VI is gonna be the shit
Even if Saw V was pretty lame
Still though, Julie Benz hammed it up throughout.
I can only hope the Dr. Gordon rumors are true.
What's the diff between the DC and the theatrical version?
What surprised me the most is that they're making a video game sequel
