    Well honestly, as I thought about it, as long as he doesn't get shot down, or the balloon doesn't pop or whatever, he should just float safely to the ground as the helium dissipates, right?

    That kid is a damned hero. How many of us wanted to hop in a balloon contraption and soar into the sky? How many of us wanted so badly to fly only to remain firmly stuck to the ground save for an especially high jump? Oh sure, you may have climbed a tree, you may have gotten on a roof and looked down on the neighbor kids and laughed, you may have even looked out an airplane window above the clouds and felt that rush.

    This kid though? This kid made it happen.

    I think we're missing the whole point here. This kid is 6 years old.
