Costume Party Help

So I got invited to a costume party this friday. The theme is 'what I wanted to be when I grow up'. I'm horrible with costumes so I was wondering if anyone had some helpful suggestions. That two things that I really wanted to be was an Engineer for Nasa or a LEGO master builder. Thanks

    60s Nasa engineer uniform is easy. White shirt, black pants, black tie, awesome glasses, and a pocket protector. Easy and classy.

    edit: don't forget to starch the hell out of everything and get the hair just right, gobs of gel.

    I did the engineer thing for a carrer day thing
    its really fun

    and you can easily make a little NASA badge on the computer and put in in a little tag hanger

    go to a military surplus store or something similar and see if you can find one of those head sets to complete the outfit!

    Do what I intend to do for my next fancy dress do

    Wear casualish clothes and a set of red tinted glasses. Bam! One Cyclops!

    Write NASA on the shirt, or people might think you just came straight from work!

    If you go the NASA route, make sure the white button-down shirt is short-sleeved.
