i remember him best from eastbound and down/me and you and everyone we know. but that guy does rule.
I noticed something last night and it's super nit picky and pointless but I will share it anyways
When 815 crashed the first time, they were turned around to go back to Fiji, they were 1000 miles off-course when it happened. But in that camera pan into the ocean on timeline B, the island was more or less right under the plane and they obviously weren't turned around as they landed in LAX. I know the island moves but it just struck me as odd.

You sure that was flight 815?
edit: I have literally no idea how that happened.
doesn't matter, they were still flying from sydney to la

actually thinking on it some about more, they did it exactly right. I mean,
if we assume the island stopped moving when it sunk, and it had been sunk for some time (the growth all over the island/statue), it would be quite some distance from where it was in timeline A

I'm guessing that maybe the island was sunk before that too (and then risen) because that'd explain the Black Rock showing up in the middle of the jungle

The Black Rock showing up in the middle of the jungle can be explained by there being a big storm that washed it inland.
I can't believe there are still people out there who think this show doesn't know what it's doing.

i love this show and watch it pretty closely but
I still get pretty irritated everytime they introduce a new mysterious thing without explaining the 100s of other ones jus' chillen
The psychic told Claire that she had to raise Aaron herself, and her child couldn't be raised by another, says Damon Lindelof. And that's "absolutely" significant for this season, since Kate has been raising Aaron. We won't find out anything more about the psychic, but we will see the importance of "who's going to end up being Aaron's mom: Claire or Kate." Also, Kate's two suitors (Jack and Sawyer) shouldn't both expect to go away empty-handed. And the writers have a really good plan for that triangle. [CNN]
So we started off last night's episode by seeing that Desmond was on the plane, and the Island was under water. And those things are significant. Explains Damon Lindelof:
What we're trying to do there is basically say to you, "God bless the survivors of Oceanic 815, because they're so self-centered, they thought the only effect [of detonating the bomb] was going to be that their plane never crashes." But they don't stop to think, "If we do this in 1977, what else is going to affected by this?" So that their entire lives can be changed radically. In fact, it would appear that they've sunken the Island. That's our way of saying, "Keep your eyes peeled for the differences that you're not expecting." Some of these characters were still in Australia, but some weren't. Shannon's not there. Boone actually says that he tried to get her back. There are all sorts of other people that we don't see. Where's Libby? Where's Ana Lucia? Where's Eko? These are all the things that you're supposed to be thinking about.
We should also be asking whether or how the timelines will intersect, if they're both viable, if they'll "resolve," and so on. We'll get mythological answers about the Island early in the season, but answers about the two timelines will be slow to arrive. [EW]
You shouldn't necessarily think of Jacob's death as murder — it's more like assisted suicide, says Michael Emerson, given the way Jacob taunted Ben into killing him with that "What about you?" question. And Emerson adds, "Jacob's agenda is more complicated than we can know. It's certainly not as simple as we thought." [Fancast]
Josh Holloway has a theory about the Island:
To me, it's a mirror to everyone's spiritual growth. It forces each character to face their demons, whatever they are, and come out the other side. Or die.[USA Today]
Jorge Garcia hints that we will get "closure" on the Hurley-Libby relationship. [Zap2It]
I don't think where Ben saw his daughter and where Hurley and crew took Sayid into the hole was the actual temple. I think that was just the wall itself.
I mean I have never known an Egyptian to just be able to build a simple wall it has to be filled with chambers and passages and stuff. The others that are there at the temple now are the ones that Ben had told to go there and i guess they have all just been chill'n by the fountain of youth.
The flares are surely some type of signal, probably a warning that something is going to go down and anyone out in the field should return, or maybe to stay away. I think the need for the Ash now may be that jacob was actively protecting the temple somehow and now with him dead other measures need to be taken. Also I am not certain of this but I have a feeling that the ashes are the ashes of Others that have died, it would make sense considering their agreement with the Dharma guys about handing over their dead

Yeah, at some point last season Damon and Carlton clarified that the wall is a substantial distance from the temple itself. I think I remember hearing them say it was about a mile away, but I'm not sure.
Posts
Because compared to the rest of the season openers it was only OK.
Satans..... hints.....
Maybe people who watch it late should have the foresight to compile their "oh hey a thing" posts together.
