Decided to add a somewhat snazzy image to the OP and for use to easily spot updates in the thread.
Also, Adus, be thankful Sollah is present; I was scrutinized for not identifying actual game dialog vs. the shit I make up. So I've done so! Italics are stuff I've written.
The only problem with the characters in this game is that you get so many. The awesome ones are very easy to spot, and you wind up with lots of duplicates for certain roles. And, it's not much of a choice between, say, one of a half dozen centaurs or
I played through this game so many times. I actually did a full rename run twice. First run, they were all Dragonlance characters. Second time, GamePlayers Magazine employees/characters.

During uploading for the latest update my net gave out, which was no problem because I was doing it in batches and this was the next to last. But when my connection was stable and I double checked on image shack, half the images I had "done" were all of a sudden not present anymore.

In most cases, we bad guys only move a couple spaces, sometimes in random directions. If someone is in range though, watch out!

UDScots, or Jaha by default, is a front-line fighter. He can generally take a beating and dish it out. I think he falls behind later in the game. He can promote to a gladiator or baron.

Something really dumb happened overnight somehow - my save file disappeared. Poof, gone. I have an idea of how it happened though so it shouldn't again.
Thankfully I'm not far into the game, so I'm already working back up to where I was.
Assuming you're doing this in a collection or something, make save states, and if your system lets you, backup files too. LP's always have something stupid happen during them

Ding ding, we have a winner. Pre-caution is something I should promote in the Archive thread now that I think about it.
So far the dumb shit I've run into in my LPs is Photobucket crapping out during my Diablo LP, the whole "oops our landlord is an idiot, house foreclosed in Portland" issue from EO2, and now this save file crap for SF2. I'm on a roll!
Backing up in this case means putting the save files on everything you possibly can. Stick a file on a USB disk, your hard drive, your cell phone's memory, a floppy disk, a stack of punch cards, whatever you need to keep a copy somewhere.
I have a request! If it's possible, can you try to get screenshots of the whole battle dialog? Like, "Rent got damaged for 1!" instead of just "Rent go"? The latter looks a bit sloppy, is all. Other than that, I'm enjoying this so far.

I'm not making promises on stuff like that, because it's going to require me checking on every screenshot I take, which is impossible when the enemy is making its move and I want to capture that as well. I'm capturing as I play.
Does the battle dialogue only stay up for a short time or something? If so I can understand it being hard to always capture appropriate screenshots.
The dialog stays up for about a second before it continues with the rest of what's going on. The last message is up for a couple seconds before it goes back to the overhead view. Screen Captor acts funny sometimes where it'll start taking screenshots a half second after I hit the button, and when it starts doing that I start trying to react faster. That "Rent go" picture is an example of it backfiring.
This is why Fraps is better. It always takes shots right when you press the button!
Or, if you're willing, you can just record it and then pull stills

Edit - This is why I go through the trouble of pulling up sprites and what not and adding dialog. 'Cause if it was recorded, some of you would just be doing commentary with me.
Edit - Also working on the third update (already!). It's way brief compared to everything else so far.

I'm not really able to proof read my posts since it's a lot to load for dialup, but as far as my imageshack interface shows, the images are uploading properly.

So far I've been able to hammer out one update a night. Don't get use to it. It was a holiday weekend afterall. But another update will come tomorrow night.

Have you had a chance to play the remake of part one on the GBA? It's tremendous. Lot of story gaps properly explained.
I assume you haven't played this game because there are far far better ones later.
You assume wrong. Of course, maybe I should've put "most memorable line in the game", since I honestly can't remember any that are far far better. That, and the fact it comes after the very first battle, so the only people who won't have seen it are those who haven't played it.
