well the governing body in Australia is called the Football Federation of Australia and it is the official term here. Australia also has a massive migrant population that have always called it football and their children have always called it football. I guess living in Europe in my high school years made what was already there deeply ingrained.

psssh the World Cup happens once every 4 years. Le Mans happens every year. Enjoy it while its here because by the time it is on again you will be old as fuck. (seriously everyone considers themselves to be old in 4 years time no matter how old you are). That 3/4 games watched. It is kinda difficult since the games are on at 9:30pm, 12pm and like 4am. I am seriously considering just staying up every night until 6am and sleeping until 2/3 in the afternoon. I have to stay up tonight for the game so I can see England wipe their ass with the US.
And it is a horrible shame that we al must face every time we play. They just won't get rid of it. Believe me, people have been trying ever since the name was assigned.

I'm fine with soccer in my isolated country, but when on an international scale I like to say football. It's more accepted.
