Square Enix has announced Necromachina, a four player co-op action game for Xbox Live Arcade and PSN.
Starring an "elite unit of specially trained ninja known as Moondivers," the game -- which was previewed in this week's Famitsu prior to its official announcement today -- is being developed by Japanese studio Feelplus and directed by Kouishi Yotsui, of Strider fame.

It's possible. With downloadable releases, anyway, Square doesn't seem to build much hype before hand. We only knew about Chaos Rings, Geomancer, and pretty much every other downloadable game they've made a few weeks before release. So... soon, perhaps?
It seems like Square has no marketing budget for its non-AAA titles. That seems really odd, but when your marketing strategy for the last 10 years has been "FINAL FANTASY!", I suppose it's hard to adapt.

Edit: Also really digging the music.
Strider! Strider! Strider!
Glad to see it was right!
