    Man I built this powerhouse computer in September, I currently have four gigabytes of RAM - had the intention to start with that and later upgrade. The most RAM I've ever had but already it is chokepointing me.

    I need to get more like soon.

    back in the day when i played skies of arcadia, i actually flew my ship around the maelstrom thing for the sole reason of grinding

    Right now, and this is the only time it's been an issue, I am rendering video with lots of effects and filters on it and after a 42 minute long render the memory ran out and I had to start over.

    So I unchecked a few things and will have to render it in two passes.
