Santa, I have to be honest and admit I've been naughty. I didn't even put in Blue Dragon this weekend. I was busy playing another mediocre game, Fable 3. However, this week is going to be Blue Dragon week. I plan to start the game later today. Your guide annotations will lead me to victory.
According to various shipping reports, my gifts have all arrived. Now - the waiting. (EDIT - I take that back. the final gift is still en route!)
Also, see (the user, not actually to look with your eyes) - Front Mission Evolved is really fun. It's a really great blend of serious game playing and "I just got home from the bar and would like to blow stuff up". Im starting to get the hang of doing multiple things at once (locking rockets on while shooting with my shotgun, firing the rockets and using the minigun, all overlapping) and it's making things so satisfying. Awesome gift!
Also the fact I can make my Wanzer/Mech red and green Christmas themed has really, really made it feel that much more awesome.

So since this is XMas week, I wanted to give my Santa some pleasure at least. Sorry, I couldn't wait any longer and opened up your first package you sent, which contained:
It's "We're Alive: A Story of Survival" Season 1! I've read some of the reviews online and this sounds absolutely amazzzzzing. I've been looking for something else (in regards to) zombies to get into and this could be it. I'm super pumped.
Part II though, I was told through proxy I should have received already but I haven't. So Santa, whomever you are, I just want you to know that I'll definitely be listening to Part I soon, but I'm not sure what to tell you about what else was sent.
Oh, dear, watching Kirstie Alsop's Homemade Christmas and she said "it's like all my Christmases have come at once" and I immediately misheard it as a well-known PA phrase. Sigh, been here waaaay too long, it's affecting my TV viewing!

Semi-important request for Santa if he or she sees this: Things are going to be pretty hectic for me the next few days and I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it to the post office during window hours every day. If you're expecting a package to get here this week and you have a vague idea of what day it will arrive on, can you proxy me and let me know?
Alternatively, if you sent something already and you're thinking "Why haven't you posted about it yet?! It should be there by now. ", let me know about that too. Especially if you sent it through Amazon, because the UPS guys just dump the boxes on our doorstep and run off. I'm always paranoid that some hooligan walking down the street will snatch boxes off of our porch.

Ok, the fact that you can admit that ... it just means you belong even more!
They tried to deliver a package to me on Saturday, but I wasn't at home. So I left a note on my door for them to leave it at the apartment office today, which they did. I waited ALL DAY LONG knowing that my gift was at home!
A wild box appears! Mista Snowman is sent to investigate!
Alright, Mista Snowman, let's open 'er up!
What's this? Instructions Inside? We better open at once! Oh hey, a thumb drive!
I guess I should plug it into my computer! The drive included three files: A word doc and two Powerpoint files. Powerpoint? What the heck? I should probably read the letter.
Letter pt 1:
Seasons Greetings Cameron_Talley!
I hope this package finds you well. I am sorry that this has taken so long to get to you, but I assure you that much lovingly and Christmasy care went into everything. I hope that more than makes up for the tardiness. Anyways, there are many good things to be found within. The wrapped gifts are pretty self explanatory. Feel free to open them now and enjoy them before we get down to business.
MANY GOOD THINGS! Awesome! Let's get to unwrapping!
(I am shamed to find that I didn't take any pics of the gifts wrapped. I'm sorry, Santa! ).
Look, Mista Snowman! It's a documentary about alcoholic advertising men!
I got into Mad Men this year and got Seasons One and Two, but hadn't gotten Season Three yet! So now I can catch up on Don Draper's exploits!
But wait! Another wrapped gift!
It's SUPER SCRIBBLENAUTS! Hooray! I've wanted this game for a LONG time--I have a BA in English and creating things by writing just sounds SO awesome!
Oh hey....There's some MORE stuff in the box! It's....plastic bags full of ABS plastic contruction toys? Just what the heck is this?
I guess I better read the rest of the letter.
Letter Pt. 2:
As you have probably noticed, inside your package are two baggies filled with Legos. One has the number one on it, the other, the number two. They correspond to the two PPT files on this thumb drive. The PPTs are instructions for each set, and should be correct. I checked them a few times for accuracy, but you never know…may have missed something. I do assure you that all the required pieces are present! I think…
Anyways, these are two custom 8-bit sets that I think you will like a lot. I certainly had a blast putting them together, and while the entire process got tedious at times I’m very happy with how everything turned out. I haven’t played with Legos in a long time, so that was a nice nostalgia trip.
CUSTOM Lego sets?!? 8-Bit sets! What? Holy CRAP!
I guess we better get to BUILDING!
Here's the Powerpoint file for Set 1. Come on, Mista, let's get that bag open
Alright, Time to build! Ok, I need this piece and this piece and...HEY! What are you DOING Mista Snowman!?!?
That's just Sick, Mista.
Ok, this is starting to look like...I don't know what.
Better Build some more...
Hey, that almost looks like...Yes it is!
It's a-me! Mario!
But wait! There's a whole 'nother bag still!
Here's another Instruction screen. My Santa included piece call-outs and Everything. Building was Super-easy!
Lego must be built on the carpet in front of the TV. No exceptions.
Hey, this guy looks familiar too!
Yes, it's a SUPER MUSHROOM!
What an AMAZING Secret Santa Gift. But wait? Who was my Santa?
Let's read part 3 of the letter!
Ok, I think that’s everything. I hope you enjoy everything. I wish you and your family all the best over the holidays.
From Your Santa,
crucialityfactor
P.S. I guess this thumb drive is a gift as well. It’s from the company I work for. Not much space…but good for purposes such as these.
Oh yeah, a thumb drive, too. Wait, what am I saying.... crucialityfactor was my Santa! Thank you SO much for this awesome gift! Really made my Christmas. I will display your Lego gifts in a place of honor!
Oh hey, looks like Norfair was crucialityfactor's Santa. And I was Norfair's santa. Another triangle! And we all three had Lego-related gifts! *Twilight Zone Theme*

That's a hat and shirt from The Miz, one of my favorite recent wrasslers. I been needing some WWE merch, and these two items are perfect. And then my SS got me L4D2, which is a game I never tried but meant to.
Thanks so much TSI Awesome! Awesome gifts from an awesome forumer.
That's what I love about Secret Santa. Every year I see things that make me go "you know what? I didn't do enough this year. But next year...oh man, watch out Future Santa!"

OKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOK!!!
I'm so friggin excited! First of all, my box is waiting patiently at my feet for my camera to charge before I rip it up.
Second, I just got home and opened up the Steam to see the new Christmas sales and I was :O. BUT I HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM IT!!
Since I don't have cats (and dogs are cooler), Lucas investigates.
Inside the box, is...
Another box! But it is wrapped. Both Dart and Lucas investigate this time, but Dart is more excited that I am home
Now that it's out of the wrapping, they bot decide to check it out.
So what awaits me inside the box?

But not just any murloc plushy....

Also in the box...
The IT Crowd Boxset!
I've been patiently waiting for Season 4 to appear on netflix, but it hasn't yet, and now I can watch all of them! woo for region free dvd players!
The whole haul:
Thanks a ton Anonymous Santa! I would have taken pictures of the dogs with the plushy, but they wanted to destroy him, and I figured that was not a good idea. After this post, going to go watch IT Crowd with the wife, and maybe play the included RPG in the next few days...if this holiday time will slow down at all.
Thanks again Mr Santa!
And my last gift that I got in the mail today...Legos! But I was a dummy and failed to order 1 specific piece...16 of that piece. Luckily I live ~20 minutes from a Lego store, time to make a trip to see if I can find them there. In the mean time, you get my hacked together project, the Death Star ornament.
Wait, where's the left part of that mushroom? Also, good Santa'ing to get you Season 3 of Mad Men since you've already seen 1 and 2.
I'm guessing he ran out of bricks! It still looks good; I can always fill in from my own collection if I decide to.
I'm so glad that everything made it to you ok! I got a call from Fed Ex this morning so I was a bit concerned.
Anyways, the Mushroom was actually based off a coaster that my xkcd SS made for me last year. I always looked at it like it was scooting off in one direction, but it didn't translate that well into Lego form. It would probably look a little less weird if Legos were actually square. But yeah, really had to scrape the bottom of my Lego tub to put those together.
I'm really glad you enjoyed everything so much. Merry Christmas!
Haha! Someone read my mind and stole my LEGO idea! The first year I did Secret Santa I very nearly ordered a custom set from LEGO themselves of Mario and Link for my santee, but then did something else instead and ran out of money so I didn't do it. It's frustrating the pieces they don't have in certain colors, and do have in others. I had to get "creative" in a few areas to make everything fit.

So my santee has received two thirds of his gift but hasn't posted about it.
What gives santee? Was I made unaware of a deadly paper allergy?
Posts like the two above make me paranoid about my gifts being stolen in transit. And then my Santa is like "Why hasn't he posted yet? Does he hate what I got him?" while I'm thinking "Man, it's gonna be so awesome when my present gets here."
Add me to the long yet distinguished line of people who can proudly say...
Yes! A package arrived on my steps this morning. I thought it was just more crap I had ordered from Amazon, but it was much, much better than that. It was crap from my Secret Santa!
There was a nice, long letter remarking on my old age and how he had attempted to tailor the gifting to my senile sensilbities. I got so mad I forgot what I was doing and then I... what was I talking about? Oh yeah, the gifts!
First, the complete haul:
3 video game themed T-shirts
3 PS3 games (Katamari Forever! Ratchet & Clank demo, Quantum of Solace demo)
1 hardcover copy of Mignola's The Amazing Screw-On Head
1 Lanyard
1 Shotglass with neck-strap
1 box of Australia's finest Tim Tam Slam cookies.
Well, it wasn't long before in my dotage I forgot these gifts were for me, so my kids immediately took advantage of the situation.
First, my son claimed the Katamari game as his own:
Then they convinced me the cookies were not Tim Tam, but rather TAM-TAM cookies, so I took off running while they consumed my holiday goods.
But I still had my shotglass. It has a handy neck-strap on it so I won't forget where it is and accidentally start sobering up.
I also got that Mignola book. I am a fanatic follower of Mignola, so much so that he could probably sneeze in a napkin and I'd pay $5 for it. Amazingly, I had not yet bought The Amazing Screw-On Head. But here it is, ready to be added to The Collection.
So at the end of the day, my sugar-frenzied offspring managed to distract themselves with the princely antics of Katamari long enough for me to kick back and enjoy a good comic book, completely blasted out of my mind.
Ah, everything the holidays should be. Thank you, Secret Santa! Stand up and be recognized.

1) It makes me proud to see the flashing lights GIFT GET! image I made making its rounds as people receive their gifts. Big shout-out to Figgy though for making the original image though! Without it I wouldn't have made the flashing lights one.
Feel free to use this image for maximum dramatic effect in your gift posting, Santees.
2) I am now reminded I need to read Scott Pilgrim and then watch the movie. Or the other way around. Netflix sadly tells me that the movie is not available for streaming.
Ah yes, 3) It's funny how you forget that people on these boards may also have families of their own. It's pretty awesome seeing families. Which reminds me, I told my Santa I'd get a picture of the kids with the "Uglydolls":
Sorry it's blurry, this is sadly the BEST picture I could get while they were semi-still. LOL
