it was not bad as far as harry potter films are concerned
lack of snape was disappointing but i assume this will be rectified in the second half
What? How can Snape not be in the movie? It has been a while since I read the books, but I distinctly remember that he was in the first chapter. This is why I hate the movies. They are so bad at keeping things true to the story.

He was in the movie.
I haven't actually read the last book yet, I just have a general idea of what happens.
ugh I thinnk I just confused two people or something. sorry duna, I thought you were also in atlanta.
I'll defend myself by saying that was a while ago...
It was.
I wanted to fly to your birthday
but you know. money.
any chance of you making pax east?
Fly to my birthday! 12/31 and I'm celebrating it the right way, which is to say drunk off my ass. It's also the birthday of a good friend of mine. So double birthday party all the way.

You should. It isn't the best book in the series, but it is a good book. It does a pretty good job of finishing up the story.
But goddamn did she go on a killing spree. "People like this character? He/she is dead!" At least that's what it felt like.

I wonder if I should get glasses so I can paint miniatures more easily. I'm far-sighted, so glasses aren't needed for my daily activities at all, but if I have a tiny tiny thing right next to my face I can't focus for crap.

I should probably actually go and get my eyes tested again soon; I haven't had new 'everyday' glasses for about 4 years. It's been kinda shitty, but when I've had money for glasses I've concentrated on getting reading glasses (which cost quite a bit 'cos I have to have coloured lenses and other stuff). Hopefully using Glasses Direct for the actual buying of the glasses will make it vaguely affordable to get new ones.
