"Welcome to Visions of Nature. This room has several paintings in it; some are big, some are small. People did them and they are here now. I believe that after this is over, they'll be hung in government buildings. Why the government is involved in an art show is beyond me. I also think it's pointless for a human to paint scenes of nature when they can just go outside and stand in it. Anyway, please do not misinterpret the fact that I'm talking right now as genuine interest in art and attempt to discuss it with me further. End of speech."

I'm really liking Ben and Leslie's relationship. It's a lot of fun right now. They're both kind of dancing around it but they both know how the other one feels without having to actually say it. It's kind of a nice twist on the will they, won't they.
I thought Andy and April's lifestyle was a little outrageous, but then I looked around my room and noticed Empty Beer Carton Mountain in the corner near Plateau de Dirty Laundry.
I need Ben Wyatt to teach me how to be an adult.
I have literally seen that kind of setup. In people that are near 30. I think I need to move away from here right away.
Awesome episode tonight, it's always great to see Leslie's character fuck people up like this.
Party Down ended mostly because of terrible ratings. Jane Lynch actually left after the first season, I'm pretty sure. I think Adam Scott and and least one other person left the show because Starz took so long trying to decide whether or not to bring it back at all.

The ending to Party Down was so amazing so I'm kind of okay with it not being back. I'd rather it be back but at least it went out classy. Like Arrested Development.
Yeah, I would have liked to see more, because the show was fantastic. But, it went out on the right note.
Shame that it happened to be on a network that nobody actually subscribes to. Doubt any of the audience for the show saw it anywhere but off of Netflix.

My bad forgetting Jan Lynch was gone well before it ended.
Part of it was just bad timing - it was before Starz had their breakthrough with Spartacus, and they didn't quite know what to do yet with original programming. Party Down was kinda out there alone, or paired with other shows that nobody cared about.
Oh well, at least we have another weekly source of Adam Scott. Now if Lizzy Caplan could get a good TV show too, I'd be happy.

she was on the last episode of mr sunshine
unfortunately that show is not very good
See, the one problem I had with the episode is the porn actress basically says Leslie does pornography, and then defines pornography as "where the penis goes in" (see title). Which was basically Leslie's argument on why the painting wasn't pornography. It still haunts me now, because its apart of the thread title.

I prefer to think that the porn actress just had no idea what Leslie really did or even what was going on.

Yup. I loved the show, but never even heard of it until like two weeks before it got canned forever.
So this was probably posted before at some point, but apparently Nick Offerman's actually quite the craftsman in real life. He did a DVD on how to build a canoe and everything.
Apparently this aspect of Ron Swanson is something they added because of him. Also, it's really clear he genuinely digs what he's doing, he actually giggles a couple of times out of joy. Strange to see him without the mustache.
Sorry, but the best remains Leslie writing her online dating profile last week.
"What's your favourite place?"
"Oh, there's this mural of a meadow on the second floor. I like to sit on a bench and look at it."
"... Really?"
"Yeah."
"It could be anywhere. Paris, Hawaii, the Grand Canyon..."
"No. The mural."
"Could we put a real meadow?"
"Ewww I'm scared of bees. The mural."

Good heavens. I didn't get into this show until near the end of Season 2, and the new Hulu Plus promo is letting me watch the entire run. How did NBC's ad campaign fail so hard that I purposely avoided it for a year and a half?

It was easy to miss. The first season started off with it just being entirely the wrong show; it took them a while to find their own voice. I think the promos they've been doing since then have been good, but if most of the potential audience already tuned the show out for being a clone of the Office then how much traction can you get?
The ending bit with Leslie and Ron only reinforce - this is probably the most overwhelming positive show on tv right now where the main characters all actually enjoy each others' company and actively support one another.

For me, it's when the penis goes in.
Are you sure?
And every character is awesome and likable. It's the best.

Let's not say anything crazy here.
I mean, 30 Rock has long since gotten old, but Parks and Community are both fucking awesome.

30 rock is slowly becoming family guy but with better writing so it's okay.
Community is set on making fun of the sitcom and it's tropes and as such will never ever be bad
I'd say all three are equal.
Outsourced is the only bad show on NBC thursdays at the moment.

This show is absolutely incredible, and I'm so happy to see Adam Scott getting work after the end of Party Down.
As I understand it, Party Down ended mostly because of his role on Parks and Rec and Jane Lynch's on Glee.
And I completely agree with ChaosHat, Party Down's ending was absolutely perfect for that series.

Swanson would win.
Swanson and Jack would sit together and eat steak.
Then they would kill Pierce and carve his body into a two-man kayak which they would use to win the America's Cup.
