getting rid of them is not as simple as cleaning, because they probably live inside your sink drain. Simply rinsing with bleach won't kill the eggs, and you can't get bleach or other chemicals (not even drain-o) to stand in your drain long enough to kill them. The solution to this is a multiple-day thing:
1) Do clean out your sink, and your garbage disposal with bleach and maybe a half a lemon, rind and all. Scrub that shit good.
2) Do all your dishes.
3) Vacuum all the flies you see.
4) Get a bowl of white vinegar, cover it with saran wrap, and make several large holes in the top. Leave it next to the sink overnight for several days.
5) Keep vacuuming them every day.
After a few days you'll finish off the infestation as the ones you don't suck up find their way into the vinegar to die, instead of the drain to breed.

Slow thinking is really part of it? I've never heard that. All the questions in DSM were more like about forgetfulness and stuff. And distractibility.
There's a big push to get the classification of ADHD in the DSM changed (right now, ADD is considered a sub-category, and is referred to as ADHD-I). Actually, this paper is entitled: Attention-deficit disorder (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder without hyperactivity): A neurobiologically and behaviorally distinct disorder from attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (with hyperactivity).
As someone with ADHD-I I think it's on to something.
