Is infiltrator the tech + sniper rifle one? That's what I beat ME1 with.
Early on it was all about just running in pistol a'blazin. But once you get a good sniper rifle if you crouch you can fire it from the hip without zooming in and just mess dudes up.
Could you cloak?
Infiltrators can cloak.
every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

in ME1?
hmm... I didn't ever cloak but that doesn't mean they can't. I just remember I was the one with trained sniper + pistol + tech stuff.
My infiltrator takes a bit more time but it feels more like a professional soldier. My vanguard is bouncing around like a drunk ping pong ball and is more like an action hero.
the cool thing about the sniper rifle in ME1 was (near-end spoilers for ME1):
During that bit where you are running up the side of the citadel I never even had to slow down. One shot one kill at speed just running along laying waste to geth.
I also took Barrier as a bonus power, so I'll cloak, run up, heavy melee, detonate barrer.
BTW, the short version of meleefiltrator is milfiltrator.
I played the first level after getting the mantis, lined up the shot, saw a head explode and then decided that this was what I was going to do for the rest of the game.
And by god I did it. All headshots all the time.
It's particularly satisfying in multiplayer because doing the "mail slot" headshot is supremely satisfying and I've gotten really great at it.
gonna get me a light shotgun and a sniper rifle and have it both ways
Eh, if you get close enough to shotgun them then you might as well just melee them.
For a side-arm I used the scorpion, which is an amazing weapon when you are being swarmed by large groups of enemies and you just want to get your ass away.

You not as good at the infiltrator bit, but you are a damn good sniper

Haha thanks.
Honestly I don't really know what to use the cloak for except for the damage bonus.
I had lots of fun during that clusterfuck we had where we were all just taking turns resuscitating each other while a brute stood over us and punched us to death.

infiltrator melee sucks
and I'd rather boost survivability in fitness than melee damage

I use the cloak to run around reviving people and capping points

Detroit Tigers ticket status: Ordered! It is too bad I couldn't get opening day tickets, but hey, day after opening day isn't bad. Too bad I won;t be able to see Verlander pitch

I use the cloak to run around reviving people and capping points
and invisible grenade tossing
I guess I just don't have a very good sense of how invisible I am.
Like I said, most of the time I either just hit it before lining up a shot or start pounding it as an "Oh fuck I don't want to be here I don't want to be here" button (which isn't actually the best since it stops your shields regenerating).

I can't wait to get the Quarian infiltrator because sabotage changes turrets from "Oh fuck they dropped a turret!" to "Fuck yes they dropped a turret!"
I did get the Turian infiltrator during the Demo. I just sniped the shit out of things and never died. Because if I am a Turian I am going to copy the coolest Turian ever.

the "no true scotch man" fallacy.

It's not ME3 it's ME2, and also that is like a "challenge mode" bit and the guy is abusing a really powerful combo over and over.
perhaps that is "repetitive"

Because do you really need any other weapon?
I carried an assault rifle for when walking next to something was suicidal.
If you do it out of cloak it's pretty good.
yes, this

yes i do
he went insane
he wanted to eat that goose
I want it in MP so bad. So bad.
this whole being an adult with a disposable income thing can be a problem
Yeah, I wouldn't use it on a vanguard kit just because it's so heavy and slow to fire
But on my soldier I honestly snipe things with it from across the map, it is brilliant
don't make a repeat of yesterday's situation
