End of Night 1: The Sickness Runs Deep
The surviving crew of the Harbinger ran towards the Deck Omega infirmary. They hoped that it would be the symbolic site of their renewal, they would excise the disease that would otherwise kill them off. The trusted Daedalus and its truth serum.
And the Dycon researchers said their prayers that the serum had been completely tested. Dycon safety protocols in an emergency at this level were lax. An untested, potentially fatal serum would be within Daedalus' parameters to try and ensure the crew's survival.
"You aren't seriously going to kill my navigator?" asked Pierce Benedict. "He's our best chance at keeping the Harbinger off a collision course with the colony!"
A tinny voice comes out of the speaker, accompanied with the holographic smile of Daedalus. "I assure you, Captain, that I am fully capable of keeping the ship on its proper course, so long as one of you approves my security clearance each day."
SECURITY CLEARANCE: ACCEPTED. ALTERING COURSE NOW
"Yeah uh...we all voted Cap. Nobody's really lookin' forward to this, just gotta get it over wit'" Big Boom picked up a syringe off the table and approached Larry Davis.
"No!" shouted Larry. "No please! I would never do this to Dycon! I don't wanna die!"
"It is highly unlikely that you will die, Mr. Davis. You will just be forced to tell the truth."
This seemed to calm Larry. Big Boom handed the syringe to Rebecca Curtis and held Larry steady. The nurse administered the serum, and waited.
Larry shrieked, he tore at his face. Boils appeared and disappeared on his face, rapidly contorting it into a grisly panoply. In his final death-throes, he grabbed the syringe and sprayed its contents toward the nearest person he could reach, Big Boom. Soon, Boom's face would be filled with boils and pus as well.
"It appears to be sabotage," announced the tinny voice. "The terrorists have *zzzrt*placed the serum with a biological weapon. It cannot be quarantined with the other Decks compromised and the ventilation system needing repair. I suggest that you try to limit the number of contacts you have, we can keep the virus from spreading too fast, limit it to one person per night." Duncan O'Neal was just a simple janitor, he wasn't getting paid big bucks by Dycon to take these kinds of risks. Hell, he was pretty sure that they were developing a robot downstairs to do his job but with half the upkeep costs. Duncan was so caught up with his own misfortune that he almost missed the sight of Dr. Kelly Robertson being dragged into the shadows.
Dycon sure as hell wasn't paying him to be a security guard, but he his conscience wasn't going to let him leave that poor woman behind. If only his conscience had listened to his brain, which warned him about his lack of a plan, his lack of training, and especially his lack of weapons.
"Let the doctor go, man," said the Janitor to the shadows. "This ain't worth it."
"Well spoken for a Dycon pig!" the shadows shouted back. "How much did they buy your loyalty for? Is it worth your life?!"
"Hell n-" Duncan was cut short by a few well placed blips. His torso had been relocated a mile from the rest of his body, courtesy of a weaponized teleporter
"Let these casualties be the first of many! The Fawkes Hounds shall fight for the rights of every Confederate man! Our weapons will show Dycon dogs exactly the mercy they deserve! Viva Confederacy! Viva revolution!"
The revolution certainly outlived Alexander Jameson, as the bright colors of destabilization tore his intestines into intricate designs on the wall.
"Sir, the target was dead when I got there."
"A shame. Are you clear about your objective?"
"Of course."
"Don't disappoint."
"I never do." CLASSIFIED, INFORMATION SENT TO DYCON CEO Dycon Personnel Files:
Big Boom - Taya Has been infected. We're working on bringing up his personnel file.
Taya is not dead. Not yet. She has been infected by the plague. She will die at the end of the 2nd night, but before she does she shall spread the plague to a person of her choosing.
She will do this either by sending me a PM stating who he wants to kill, or by posting publicly in this thread !Patsy. The target cannot be changed once made, whatever decision was made first will have its effect. The plague is here to stay and will continue until the end of the game.
Larry Davis - Nirya - Killed by the 'serum'; Dycon Experiment. Extra precaution should have been taken, he managed to infect before he died. A shame, his psychic abilities would have been useful to the crew had he survived. Alexander Jameson - Maximus - Killed by prototype technology; Confederate. Daedulus suggests using stricter visa examination protocols in the future. Duncan O'Neal - Baidol - Killed by Confederate Ordinance; Federation citizen Dr. Kelly Robertson - MrTLicious - Killed by Confederate Ordinance; Federation citizen

Also, the standard for Plague deaths and death posts are the same as in the previous game:
You can make one post when you die, so long as it isn't meant to influence the game, unless you are infected by the plague.
If you die by the plague, you get no death post. You know you're going to die, you should make your peace before the end of the day.

I really doubt it would be so "pointed" if it was just talking about someone dying to inactivity. It mentions someone "Targeting " someone and it mentions/implies an individual who doesn't disappoint.. So yeah.....
it mentions that in the line break after the description of what is clearly a mafia kill followed by a mafia member dying due to their own incompetence (which is to say, inactivity)
I think that was probably a mason-directed kill that ended up redundant, due to them not checking inactivity logs
which is to say
get it in gear, masons

No, Maximus was killed by Assuran. It's painfully clear:
Assuming that Munkus will describe the death as it's written in my role PM, I will use my pocket-sized positronic destabilizer to completely waste Maximus tonight.
That's about all I can give out, without revealing to much publicly.
Alexander Jameson - Maximus - Killed by prototype technology; Confederate. Daedulus suggests using stricter visa examination protocols in the future.
Edit: However, there is no proof currently that Assuran is actually a village vig, a mafia vig, or a neutral SK. He could be a mafia vig, who cleverly chose Maximus as his kill target at the last minute, expecting him not to pop up in the last 60 minutes and cast his public vote. After all, he would be culled for inactivity anyway. If Assuran could publicly call out Maximus's death, Maximus turns out to be mafia, instant village network head... who happens to be a mafia vig.
And there were only 2 reserves signed up, for 3 inactives. It's possible Maximus never would have been replaced, and the mafia hit on him, publicly disguised as a village hit, was genius.

It's a fun day 1 but I'm legitimately annoyed this game because I shouldn't have that many grudges in CF. I could understand getting Day 1'd in SE++.
Posted from my DyPad 7
I mostly voted for you as a joke, because the last time I decided the "Taya is mafia" thing was stupid and old, you turned out to be mafia...
Then I voted for you because you were way ahead of Nirya, and Assuran needed to be alive.
Now I'm keeping my vote there because it looks like a rather suspicious shift to Nirya.

Fuck you Munkus, trying to frame me! I see your tricks.
So that kinda works out that you shot the inactive mafia, since he might have gotten a replacement and been active today if you hadn't!
A missing kill. Uhh, lesse, I'll have to look further later cause my LoL game just started.
@Taya
your character is a dude? I wonder if mine is a chick O_O
See the last bit of narration
Female musicians? You're being silly.
Obviously, I'd appreciate a guard today if we have anyone out there. Will try to network some tomorrow.

And yes, narration indicates a double kill.
I didn't want to play anyway...

ooooOOOOOOoooo
hmm, no
I got the sense that Maximus was a mafia inactive (he was inactive, after all) and his inactive death got written into the overall narrative
it mentions that in the line break after the description of what is clearly a mafia kill followed by a mafia member dying due to their own incompetence (which is to say, inactivity)
I think that was probably a mason-directed kill that ended up redundant, due to them not checking inactivity logs
