Sometimes I feel like someone in here would hate on Copper if it was posted.
And nobody is allowed to hate on my favourite things!
But seriously that Sinfest was cute. He got a new gadget and instead of a dumb unboxing video made a comic to celebrate it. I didn't interpret it as self-aggrandizing at all.

dude it says the tablet is for "insane geniuses" and the stylus is called excalibur
Oh I didn't actually read that part.
Can't I just not read things and judge them based on the art and act like I'm seeing the whole picture?
You should accept my insane genius ways.

no, that's fine
the art in sinfest is great, the problems only start when there's words (or narrative)
Yeah, I don't understand most of the hate for sinfest
I like it when there isn't any narrative or dialogue, and the art is pretty enjoyable to look at

Yeah, I think narrative is omnipresent in comics. If the panel or panels weren't trying to tell a story we'd probably think of it as a series of pictures rather than "A Comic"

It can be a little heavy handed sometimes, but the art makes up for it.

This sentence annoys me on a number of levels because it implies that he's making a mulitple-panel comic with zero narrative considerations
Just a random series of pictures with no continuity

What you're implying is that the problems start when there's narrative, i.e., all the damn time
Which, incidentally, I'd agree with because I do not like that comic
i'm not implying that's what he's doing
i'm stating that his narrative considerations are subpar while the art is superb
you're right, i am implying that the problems are all the damn time
after stating "words" i wanted to make clear that even the silent comics are problematic
