That is interesting and now that you mention it, I rarely hear about vehicle vs. vehicle fatalities unless it was because of a drunk driver. Most vehicle related fatalities seem to be vehicle vs. pedestrian or vehicle vs. something immobile.

She was stressing about what would be the safest thing to get, but really it's more or less irrelevant because it is really hard to die in a car crash (assuming a relatively modern car) unless the collision is so severe that you wouldn't survive in any car.
