Man it has been a busy semester.
'Bout one week left, and then I get to get proper sleep.
(so naturally I'm taking a deserved, but ill-afforded break)
Here's a small sampling of things!

I think you could change the colors around to be more "punchy" (especially things like his dark jeans and midtone, muted shirt color). Wacky linework + wacky colors would look pretty cool IMO!
See, this is why I love this place. Awesome advice @Molybdenum and @NightDragon! I did some quick and dirty edits, to be honest, the cheap way (levels, invert colors, cutout filter and polygon lasso some fills) and I like it quite a bit more:
Color is very subjective. I employ photoshop tricks all the time to find my pallet, but after the tricks you need to have your own ways to find pleasant colors on your own. This is as much study as any other thing, and no one has a copyright on a pallet. If you find some colors you like, make a mental note of it, and try to employ them in a totally different way.

Maintaining the blog just means I'm full of links. I also have photographic memory, so If I can think a tool that will help, I usually remember where I saw it. My patience for google searching a particular tumblr for key words like "AWESOMEBALLS" because I remember thats what they tagged a good tutorial with is also way too high.
I have the bestest idea for a challenge thread if that "draw something in user-suggested not-your-style-style" one is done- Pick a kuler theme for someone and they have to do an art with it.
Okay, posting something very dear to my heart. My girlfriend is entering the last weeks of pregnancy and since I can't contain my excitement any longer I'm posting the designs of the back and front of the card I'll be handing out on is his(yes it's a boy) day of birth to family and friends. I hope they'll be to people's likings.
One of the things I like to do is turn on some very psychedelic, dark, or otherwise trippy music and just draw what it makes me feel. In this case it was Tool. Here yah go.
I wish I had done that right hand on the left thing a little different. I don't like the angle of it.
Kim kong, I really like that image combo. I think I still had a onesy/coveralls when I was 7 or 8 and they play a part in imaginative theatrics, As do wooden swords, and laundry baskets.
I have been playing around with my Thinkpad tablet and with the new software updates, it's actually been decent for doing some arts while I watch walking dead!
That first one is incredible, I love the background textures and whatnot... then scrolled down, second one is fFFFFUUU
Obi! Good to see you back drawing and whatnot, especially on a marker board. I was planning on getting one next week for my room, because I love marker boards.
