t Laos: For a very long time, iTunes would ignore ‘The’ at the beginning of an artist’s name, so something like The Hypothetical Band Name would be placed by Hypotenuse and Hyperbole, rather than This Band Doesn’t Exist. Now, every time I edit tags on songs with an initial ‘The’, it’s taking them literally and doing the latter--which means, for example, I can’t type ‘kni’ to get to The Knife.
Oh. That's what I thought you meant. I didn't know it behaved like that before. That's kind of handy. Although, it would be annoying having gotten used to that behaviour to have it change.
Man, my friend is so whiney and get's so pissed off if he is doing something, like going out to eat, and then someone can't come for some reason, and then he get's mad at them.
There are very few musicals about assassins. It's a much neglected niche genre.
If there were a blockbuster musical assassin film, you can bet he'd be the male lead.
Not necessarily.
The Bourne Christmas.
Is that a real movie starring someone else? Because, it doesn't sound like a musical nor that it would have very many song and dance numbers. And, really, he'd probably star anyway.

And now I feel guilty, he asked me if I wanted to go to get burgers with him and other people, and I said I have family stuff to do, and he told me I blow dong. And he will probably be mad for a while.
His mind works like a child's, in many many aspects... but I like him 95% of the time, so I tolerate his temper tantrums.
iTunes is bogging it down processing all those 'the's?
Apparently one of my drives stopped responding, so iTunes went into a loop or something. I guess it gave up, though. Odd that this is the second time one of my hard disks has acted strangely in the past two weeks.

You have no imagination.
The quick-cuts and shaky camera would be too much with his dance steps.

I was also surprised to see other people from Saskatchewan on here. It's not often we run into each other in the tubes.
That's because there are what, about 1000 people in the whole province? :P
(I grew up in NE Montana, so I get to say things like that.)
I wish you were off my a few more factors of ten.
Sadly, you are not.
I can definitely sympathize... things aren't that different on the other side of the border. At least you are in something of a major population center, though. You probably actually have stores that are open after 6:30 and even a fast food place or three all closer than a 3-hour drive.
Where are you? I guess that's why you work from home, huh? (I almost typed "eh?")
Yeah, I like the city, actually. It's a great size for me and it's really booming right now. Housing and road construction sucks, but they're good signs, so I don't mind them. And I've got a pretty sweet job with awesome benefits, so there's no real motivation to move away any time soon. I can do everything I can think of wanting to do (for the foreseable future, anyway) right here. It's nice.
I'm not there any more, but my mom still is, and I grew up there. Go pretty much straight south from Moose Jaw and when you hit the border keep going about another 15 miles. Stop before you get to the indian reservation, though.

Would Jason Bourne bust a move as efficiently as he can bust someone's arm?

Well, I gathered you were there, generally speaking. I was curious about a name. Something I could look up, maybe.
I don't fear indian reservations... our newest casino was just completed in one. Which, really, was incredibly stupid.
SIGA (Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority) wanted to build a new casino in Saskatoon to replace the privately owned shitbox we had. They wanted to put it right downtown, which would have been wonderful. It would have helped add new life and revitalise the area, provided plenty of employment opportunities for those in the area and the surrounding less-well-off areas. It also would have played into the Destination Downtown kick our city is on, trying to get the Downtown to seem more appealing to locals and pull more out-of-towners in as well.
What did the city do? Council voted against it by a slim majority. SO STUPID!! So, SIGA built on the Whitecap Dakota-Sioux First Nation twenty minutes south of town. It's a nice casino, but the road there sucks and the drive is annoying (considering it was going to be downtown!). They're rebuilding the road, though, so that's a bonus. I'm still pissed the city missed out on that opportunity though.

that's over the top.
Yeah... I thought you meant he just freaked out when someone bailed/cancelled. But if you can't go because you have prior engagements and so never agreed to go? Over the top indeed!

Maybe. Damon doesn't have the voice McGregor has.
I've never heard him sing before, but ya, I don't see him as matching McGregor. He's also not as naturally graceful as the same guy who played a young Obi Wan.
I am pretty sure it was the Old Man crowd that pressured the Councillors to vote against the plan. It strikes me as fairly young and hip (maybe) to support the downtown casino.
Good god -- I spotted an extremely nerdy-looking kid today in my Precalc class, so I tried to start a conversation with him: asked him what semester this is for him (1st, like me), did he read Penny Arcade (yes), tried to then strike up a conversation about gaming/general nerdiness. Some nerds need serious help -- aside from the fact that it was a totally one-way conversation, he basically speaks in a stage-whisper.
Seems like a nice guy, but goddamn.
Also, I just talked to PJG on the phone, which made me realize she sounds exactly like the girl I was in (unrequited) love with for three years. Looks a hell of a lot like her, too. This is just so not looking good.
God, I hate being girl-tarded. I'm just reinforcing so many negative nerd stereotypes. It's no good, no good at all.

Old men complain about how their town has passed up a chance for money. :P

I met this guy today in precalc class, and he just would not leave me the fuck alone. I thought that if I spoke really quietly he would go away, but he just did not get the message.

Oh. Still strikes me as more of a youthful cry of frustration that would lead young people to leave smaller locations for the 'Big City' and its life.

It took you three days to notice the resemblance?
No. Swedish Girl is someone else. This is Petite Jewish Girl (PJG). I met her today.

Not necessarily.
The Bourne Christmas.
I can only think of one.
Really?

The booming metropolis of Scobey, Montana is where I spent my formative years. It's quite different from where I am now in many, many ways.
What? How is any of that Old Man-ish?
