    Leg 5, Part 1

"I don't think there are going to be too many flights between Almaty and Prague."
"Probably true. Think we're all bunched again?"
    "Yes."
"Excuse me, I'm looking for the fastest way to Prague?"
"Would you happen to be travelling with those other Americans?"
    "Yes."
"I've already got your tickets lined up then. Here you go."

(all teams are now on the same flight to Prague)

"We need to do the puzzle. I'm not a particular fan of dueling at the moment."
"I can understand why. Let's go."

    cP48cbb.jpg
"Natasha, what is boy scout motto?"
    "Be prepared."
"I am not prepared to act, so let's do puzzle."

"This is Mr. Mime's time to shine, don't you think?"
    "Plus we live to duel."
"Yeah, this is an easy choice."

"I think it's time to make a move, brother."
    "I agree. Plus, sharks, pssssh."
    "Wait, what? SHARKS?"
"You'll live. Unless it eats you."

    "Luke, what are you thinking?"
"Well, I feel like I developed my thinking with Master Yoda. And I can't act*."
    "Dueling though..."
"I can't do that until I've completed my training."
    *except voice act

    "Bro, SWORDS."
    "Bro."
    "Bro."
    "Dude."
    "Awesome."

"We got a crap taxi again, JD."
"Did we forget to tip our cabs before we came out here, or what?"
(Note: jdark and kime get consistently bad NAV rolls even though their stat isn't that bad, I dunno what's up with that. Granted, they have also had some outstanding rolls on tasks, so it probably has evened out)

"Now that I'm a knight and married to a lady, do I have to pretend to understand art like this?"
"Well, if you want to be accepted in polite company, yes."
"I've never had much use for polite company. No offense meant."
"What, for including me in polite company?"

"So, first I draw my Honedge, and then I swing, while Cesare ducks."
"And then you jump over my swing like so..."
    "And you parry my thrust."

"Mercenary and dwarf are here already."
    "They always are."
    "So puzzle. Start on outside."

    "Bro. This is amazing."
    "Dude, swords."
"Would you two focus on the damn choreography?"
    (they continue to goof off)

"I'm a great dancer, and that seems pretty similar to what we're doing here."
"And I'm a total ham, so I'll appeal to the director."
"This was a good choice, JD."

"Are you sure the sword fight wasn't a better option for us?"
    "Trust me, I got this."

(instructor): "Now just stay focused, swim down, and grab the clue."
    "What about the shark?"
    "What shark?"
    "The sand shark?"
"Oh him? He's only like 12 feet. No big thing."
"You go first, see if he likes inferior clone meat."
    "Fine."

    "I'm still feeling unsettled."
    "Why's that?"
"I dunno, I dreamed about a snake and a mountain last night."
"Your dream is bothering you? Get a grip and focus, Tyrion."
(probably the last reference to that. probably)

"Got it. Now the clue says you have to go."
    "The shark didn't eat you."
"Think I'm too much of a natural born human."

    "And there's last piece, darling."
"That was easy, and Tyrion looks like he's distracted, so we beat them out of here."

"Don't eat me. Don't eat me. Don't eat me."
    (SHARK)
"Don't eat me. Don't eat me. Don't eat me."
    "He looks scared."
"Swim swim swim swim swim ok thank God still alive."
"Congratulations, you have won the Fast Forward! Take a taxi to Prague Castle, the pit stop for this leg of the race. The last team to check in here may be elimianted."
    "Let's go."

"And then I die, like so: AAAAAAAAAAAGH!"
    "How was that?"
"Good! You didn't have to narrate everything though."
"Ah well, we're through. Come along Mr. Mime."

    "Just like dancing."
"At least we're good at tasks."
"Though I'm going to have to do some Roadblocks."

"See, Lando, this puzzle wasn't so bad. We even beat Tyrion!"
    "Whoa, so we did."

    "Bronn, you could be helping."
"I don't know art and I'm bad at puzzles. You're the one who likes riddles."
    "I don't like them, that's Varys."
    "Fine, you understand them."
    "Sometimes."
"I can get this last piece in though."

"OK, this time I'm really focusing."
    "On our third attempt?"
    "Swords, man."
    "Fair."

    Standings
    1. Gizzy and Zombie Hero - 6 days, 18 hours, 12 minutes, 18 seconds
    2. premium and Iron Weasel - 6 days, 18 hours, 18 minutes, 59 seconds (Fast Forward pass won)
    3. Sir Fabulous and CesareB - 6 days, 18 hours, 19 minutes, 9 seconds
    4. jdarksun and kime - 6 days, 18 hours, 20 minutes, 50 seconds
    5. kirindal and MrTLicious - 6 days, 18 hours, 22 minutes, 2 seconds
    6. ObiFett and SaberOverEasy - 6 days, 18 hours, 32 minutes, 6 seconds
    7. schuss and Auralynx - 6 days, 18 hours, 37 minutes, 31 seconds

Puzzle was pure INT, obviously. Slightly wider variety of times on its one level of times. Duel was the opposite of last leg's Roadblock. Charisma based time with an AGI check.

    Route Information:
Make your way to Žofín Rowboat Rentals in Prague.

Who's ready to push their teammate?

    abandoned_row_boat_2fe5a2a4c4c9f1819892261e9c88b68b.jpg
A Roadblock is a task that only one team member may perform, and no one can perform more than five on the entire race. In this Roadblock, the chosen team member will row one of these rowboats with their teammate in it about a mile down the Vltava river to the Manesuv most bridge. Once there, they'll walk on foot approximately a half mile to Prague Castle. This Castle, historically the founding site of Prague, is the pit stop for this leg of the race. The last team to check in here, may be eliminated.

There was too much endurance (especially since I made KF HIGHLY relevant) on the first four legs and bravery has been a tad under utilized (I think it and charisma are the hardest to design for without repeating things). I do try to keep things balanced.

We are halfway through in 8 hours.

Also, a friendly reminder that determination exists.

    Leg 5, Part 2

"I would much rather sink other team's boats with rocks."
"That's not in the rules, Boris. You're going to have to row."
    "You could row."
    "Look at my arms."

    4eb50bd2b32ce9d3ec30a8a7fb6d07f0.jpg
    "Welcome to Prague, Czech Republic!"
"Welcome, premium and Iron Weasel, you're team number one."
"Perhaps if we worked together more often instead of accusing each other of being fakes, we could do this consistently?"
"Psh, that's what a clone would say."

"We don't have a pokemon who can use HM02."
"So which of us should do it?"
"We're near the front, I think, so I think you should do it even though you're a bit weaker."
    "Not so many water bugs..."

"I think this one is yours again."
"That would be the last one."
    "I know."

    "Manual labor?"
    "We suck at manual labor."
"I guess I'll take it Lando."

"Pretty sure I have to take this, your arms just aren't long enough."
    "Probably true. Confident?"
"Pretty confident. I can do this forever."

"Bro, was it over when the germans bombed pearl harbor? NO"
"Is it over when I have to row us to freedom? NO"
    "Good point, bro. Good point."
"Didn't they throw you off the crew team for stealing a boat, though?"
"I WAS JUST BORROWING IT! For real bro, just borrowing it to sneak into the girls freshman camp trip on the other side of the pond. So what if I crashed it into the rocks drunk on the way back. They just can't handle my style bro."

"Brown Bear, this is super fun."
    "Really? I'm kind of seasick."
    "Come on, enjoy the moment."
"I"m enjoying you passing the trainers."
    "Really?"
    "Yeah."

"Doctors are gaining on us, dear."
    "Throw land mine."
    "But we're on water."
    "Explosives are explosives."

"Wow, I honestly didn't know you had that in you JD, but I think we're the first ones done with the rowing."
"It says we've got to run to the castle now."
"Quick, the costumed married couple aren't that far behind."

"Dude, that's like the third team you've passed."
"I told you I was awesome at this, stolen boat or no."
"Apparently. I didn't you had it in you."

"We've got to move, we can still catch doctors."

    "They're gaining on us."

"Luke, I see the trainers, they're about fifty feet ahead of us, we've got maybe another two minutes to go?"
"Got it. Going to see if I can catch them."

"This isn't going so hot for me, sorry. Wish you had brought a Simipour."
"Still a couple teams behind, don't worry, we're also even with the Pilots."
    "We're not fast runners though."
    "We'll be fine."

"They're maybe a half block behind, JD."
    "There's the mat!"
"Welcome, jdarksun and kime, you're team number two."
    "Wow. Nice job, JD."
"Welcome, Gizzy and Zombie Hero, you're team number three."

"Only team behind us managed to pass us. I'm not happy about this."
"Tucker was kicking my ass at that, wow."
"Maybe we can catch someone on the run?"
"Probably have to hope more for non-elimination, frankly."

"Welcome, schuss and Auralynx, you're team number four."
"Wow, what a comeback bro. Hell of a job."
"Told you it wasn't over, brah."

"I think the pilots took a wrong turn."
    "There's the mat!"
"Welcome, CesareB and Sir Fabulous, you're team number five."
    "Nice, still in it."

    "We have to turn around."
"I've got a bad feeling about this."

    "This alley is a shortcut."
"Want me to carry you? I can probably run faster carrying you than you can on your own."
    "Embarrassing, but true. Do it."

    "Left here."
    "Sure?"
    "Pretty sure."

"Right through there is the mat."

    "There's the mat!"

    (cuts)

"Welcome, kirindal and MrTLicious, you're team number six. You're still in The Amazing Race."
"Just have to beat one team each leg."
    "Getting harder though."

"Give us the bad news, Phil."
"Welcome, SaberOverEasy and ObiFett, you're the last team to arrive. I'm sorry to tell you that you've both been eliminated from the race."
"It's been a rough day for me."
    "Rough week, really."
    "Don't remind me."

    Results
    1. premium and Iron Weasel - 6 days, 18 hours, 27 minutes, 49 seconds (Fast Forward exhausted)
    2. jdarksun and kime - 6 days, 19 hours, 34 minutes, 13 seconds
    3. Gizzy and Zombie Hero - 6 days, 19 hours, 34 minutes, 46 seconds (Fast Forward exhausted)
    4. schuss and Auralynx - 6 days, 19 hours, 41 minutes, 34 seconds (Fast Forward exhausted)
    5. CesareB and Sir Fabulous - 6 days, 19 hours, 44 minutes, 57 seconds

    7. SaberOverEasy and ObiFett - 6 days, 19 hours, 50 minutes, 4 seconds - eliminated

    Leg 6, Part 1

This is Prague Castle, once the foundation of Prague and now functional as the presidential palace, was the fifth pit stop in a race around the world. Six teams will set out from here having no idea what's in store for them. They'll have to solve clues hidden in these yellow envelopes to learn where they have to go next. Who will be eliminated... next?

    TAR_Route_Info_clue.jpg
    Venice-winter_2370349b.jpg

    Route Information:
Take a taxi to Autobusová St. Wilsonova. From there, take a bus to Brusutti S. R. L. near Venice, Italy. Once there, take a taxi and car ferry to St. Mark's Basilica in Venice proper. It's there that you'll find your next clue.

    TAR_Fast_Forward_clue.png
    5424927674_c69eaacbce.jpg
    Fast Forward:
The Fast Forward is a task that only one team can win on each leg and no team can win more than one on the entire race, so they must decide when it's most advantageous to go for it. In this Fast Forward, teams must help evacuate a home sinking into the waters of the Aegean Sea. First, they'll walk a short distance to this home on the edge of Venice. Then they'll have to move ten large and unwieldy pieces of furniture out onto this waiting boat. Once they've moved all ten, they'll receive the Fast Forward pass.

    00285588-868578_500.jpg

    Detour:
A Detour is a choice between two tasks, each with their own pros and cons. In this Detour teams will choose between two ways of getting around Venice: Pedal or Paddle.

    bike-venice-beach.jpg
In Pedal, teams will take a bike through a marked route through Venice's streets and over Rialto Bridge on the Grand Canal. The only thing teams have to worry about is pedalling their bikes, as the route is pre-determined, but the chosen path is long and winding and could take some time.

    Gondola_Ride_at_the_Venet-Gondola_Rides_at_the_Vene-3000000013258-500x375.jpg
In Paddle, teams will choose one of these gondolas within site of the Basilica. Then, they'll direct their gondoliers to their next destination, the Palazzo Mocenigo. There's almost no physical effort required to complete the task, so teams that can accurately direct their gondolier could move ahead quickly. But it's equally possible to get lost in Venice's notorious maze of canals.

Finally bothered to finish mapping out the tasks. Need to find places to do them now but that shouldn't be too much of an issue, frankly. And how the hell you guys are getting to the ninth pit stop, which is awesome but... remote. Like Victoria Falls last time. So one pit stop (the eighth), some flight times, some driving distances, and a finish line and I'm done. Slackerbum.

    Leg 6, Part 1

"Still pumped about kicking that boat's ass."
    "Where are we going now?"
"Says to take a bus to Venice."
"That seems like it would be... long."
    "Yeah, bro. ROAD TRIP."
    "But, in a bus."

"Frats are still here, think that means the buses don't run frequently."
    "Good."

    (All teams board the bus)

    "Ow. My back."
    "No kidding brah."

"No good Pokemon trainer goes without a bicycle, so let's ride."
"Sounds good to me. Let's go."

"No physical effort! Sounds like way to go for us."
"Obviously. You always know where we're going, right?"

"Boats worked really well for us last time."
"Yeah dude, but this time I'll be in control."
"I think I can do this too, how hard could it be?"

"I can't believe you brought bike shorts. You look like a dork."
    "You look just like me."
    "In better clothes."

    "I think I know where we're going."
"You've been doing well with the tasks so far, so let's just go with it."
    "Then you'll get the Roadblock."

"We can't navigate without a flight computer."
    "So you're saying bikes?"
    "Yeah, definitely bikes."

"Bro, we should go that way."
    "I don't think so."
    "Mr. Gondolier, turn here."
"What are you doing? I've been navigating the whole time."
    "I'm pretty sure about this."

"I remembered actual mines this time."
"When did you have time to pick those up?"
"I met a man on the bus."

"We need to stop real quick. Those two want a double battle."
"Do we have time for that?"
    "There's always time for battling!"

"Boris, I think we're the first ones done."
"Naval training in Pottsylvania focused on maps."
"Since we don't have any actual ships, that makes sense."

"Keep telling you, we're great at tasks, Turk."
"If only we got places faster."
"Well, we're still second, and this clue is the Roadblock already."

"That battle cost us a couple minutes."
"It was so worth it though."
    "How so?"
    "Caterpie evolved!"
"Which makes it a bloody Metapod."
    "Hey!"

"You still look like a dork."
"A dork in third place, counting envelopes. And given that there are two racers here waiting for their partners."
    "But still a giant dork."

"So you got us kind of lost."
    "I thought I knew!"
    "Leave the navigation to me."
    "Lesson learned."

    "So, um, we're last."
"Not exactly new, but normally we're ahead of somebody."

"Natasha, take fake mask with you. If you see a valuable looking mask, take it."
    "Right off dancer's face?"
    "Yes."

"Well, I've go to take this. Let's look for a distinctive looking mask..."

"I'm not sure that's relevant. Especially given where your eyes are on Halloween."
    "My eyes."
    "Fine, our eyes."

"I think I've got a better eye for detail, Luke."
    "Alright you can take it."
    (Moments later)
"Uh oh, Natasha just emerged with her clue."

"The clue says we have to go on foot."
"Map indicates it's a pretty good distance."
    "How long?"
    "A half hour?"

    "Think this one."
    "Try again."
"Stupid masks. Yamask creeps me out anyway."

    (montage of everyone failing)

"Got it Luke, we've got to move."
"That's a long walk, you're not in the best shape anymore."
"I hope I gave us enough of a buffer."

"We're right behind the pilots. They left less than a minute ago."
"Better put on our running shoes then."

"There are some hot chicks in there."
    "But they're all wearing masks."
    "Still hot."
"Do you have the clue this time?"
    "Yeah, brah, let's move."

    "Oof, that was rough."
    "Four tries?"
"Yeah, are we the last ones?"
"No, the doctors are still here."
    "Good."

    "Welcome to Venice, Italy!"
"Welcome, Gizzy and Zombie Hero, you're team number one!"
"We win again. We're shoo-ins for first place."

"I can't find the right mask, JD. I'm sorry."
"Well, our luck had to run out at some point. Maybe this is it."

    "Run, Sir Fabulous!"
    "(Breathing hard) I'm coming."
"We did just pass the pilots."
    "Is that the mat?"

"Welcome, CesareB and Sir Fabulous, you're team number two."
    "Alright, top three!"

"Welcome, Kirindal and MrTLicious, you're team number three."
    "We're making our move!"

"That's the pilots, they just checked in."
"Damn, bro. They don't usually beat us."
    "We're not last."
"Welcome, schuss and Auralynx, you're team number four."
    "See?"

"Why can't I figure this out?"
"It looked like it was tough for everyone."
"I'm having the hardest time though."

"Welcome, premium and Iron Weasel, you're team number five."
    "Yikes. That was too close."

    "Finally got the clue, JD."
"Well, we can always hope someone got horribly lost."
    "Or maybe it's non-elimination?"

"Welcome, jdarksun and kime, you're the last team to arrive. I'm sorry to tell you that you've both been eliminated from the race."
    "We had a good run."
"You did great. Sorry I couldn't live up to your example. Really wish there had been an eating roadblock. I would have kicked that's ass. Or like, bungee jumping."
    "It's fine, Chocolate Bear..."

    Leg 7, Part 1

This is Santa Maria della Salute, in Venice, Italy. The dome of this church has become emblematic of Venice itself and now it was the sixth pit stop in a race around the world. Five teams will set out from here having no idea what's in store for them. They'll have to solve clues hidden in these yellow envelopes to learn where they have to go next. Who will be eliminated... next?

Route information: Fly to Aksum, Ethiopia. You can do so from either Venice's Marco Polo International Airport or from Milan. Then, drive yourself to the Church of our Lady Mary of Zion, where you'll find your next clue. The first flight from Milan departs at 8:50, while the second flight departs two hours later at 10:50. The only flight from Venice departs at 9:20.

Note: It is 5:40 local as Gizzy and ZH leave the pit stop.

Fast Forward: The Fast Forward is a task that only one team can win on each leg and no team can win more than one on the entire race, so they must decide when it's most advantageous to go for it. In this Fast Forward, teams must look to the north and walk about 200 feet to the Great Stele of Aksum. Then, they will find a set of metal disks with inscriptions on them and a number of smaller stela. Using the model as a guide, they must attach the disks to the models in the proper order, with the proper inscriptions facing out. When they do so, the engraver will hand them their next clue.

(There are a number of stations with hats, leather jackets, and... are those whips? set up)
Roadblock: Who's Jonesing for some action? (I couldn't resist, though this would be funnier if Blarney and Zonugal had survived)

    1. Which airport?
    2. Fast Forward for Pokemon and Luke/Lando?
    3. Who's got the Roadblock?

(That time SHOULD be accurate, assuming the race started at 6 AM local in Seattle)

Gizzy/ZH also tied Rend/El Skid for most legs won in the short history of this game. Both teams have won 3/16, though Rend/Skid never used the Fast Forward

Oh, before I post it tomorrow night: without looking it up with the Googles/Wikis: why is this task being associated with that church?

The majority of the church is underground and most likely its structure is a maze.
