The place is New York City. It is lawless maze of boutique beef milk and tapas brunch cafés on the ground level of luxury condos stretching from Paterson to Montauk.

I feel like New York is less than a generation away from something like mandatory rent controls on the lower ten floors of any building and thus the construction of walkways between the luxury condos and the creation of a literal undercity

Closed in january, apparently, according to their website.

I had to look it up because I'd never heard of it. I've been to hidden lane (which is like a little indie music/fashion/arts enclave in a medieval lane off one of the main shopping streets) but not to there specifically.

    fuck

that place was awesome - i would routinely comb through their new arrivals online and use that as a listening guide

no, that poem was written in the form of a villanelle

i find the form to be a little predictable and uninteresting

it's a 39 line poem poem which repeats 6 words in every stanza

    Depends what you're after

I used to use a place called Avalanche which is tucked away behind Queen Street station, I'm not sure if it's still there.

A lot of the indie stuff is in the west end around Byres Road, Great Western road towards Cowcaddens, and Glasgow University

There's a place called Mixed Up in Otago Lane which is apparently well-regarded, but i've never been in. Used to use a second hand bookshop there called Voltaire and Rousseau.

Do you know whereabouts you'll be?

    Huh that is pretty cool

I could see how you could approach writing one a few different ways, which would be good mental exercise

And I'm glad they don't appear to be ritualistically hurting anybody

@_J_ I'm back on PoE. I'm trying to do some kind of tri-elementalist Templar right now on Bloodlines. Is Avatar of Fire workable besides for making an Infernal Blow guy?

Some days Blue wonders why anyone ever bothered making numbers so small; other days she supposes even infinity needs to start somewhere.

I have instituted a rule where I take at least 12 hours before responding to an email (unless it's content is obviously particularly urgent)

I am writing better responses, I feel

Actually taking the time to be thoughtful about a thing results in more thoughtful responses

    Dark magic???

Like, you could choose the 6 words first

Or write the first stanza, and then choose 6 words from it and go from there

Or write a poem without worrying about the 6 words, and then re-write it with the 6 words rule in mind

    Very neat

Or you could do a lot of drugs and then see what you make poetry out of

    And go from there
