Is Rabbids Land as bad as some of these reviews say?

Went to double-check the recommended version... Seriously, Ghost Recon Shadow Wars over Splinter Cell 3D? And, consider this inquiry is for someone who will not evar play multi.

Yup, GR:SW is a legit 3DS turn-based strategy game. It's got elements of X-Com and Fire Emblem mixed together. Really, really good. And I never even touched the multiplayer.

Ahh, err, hmm. I've got Fire Emblem, and will pick up X-Com once the Vita version comes out (you know, AGAIN), plus the Disgaea and FFT, and Ogre Battle. so I think my turn-based strategy on mobile is covered. Sorry, didn't even realize the genre of the thing. The other type of game, Splinter Cell, is the type I don't really have covered for mobile.

It sure does. Not only is it a hastily upported DS game (that would have been ugly even on the DS) but it was also crash happy. Various stability updates have improved it, but the eshop version came much later and is a later version of the game while the launch version never got any patches.

If only the 3DS provided some sort of mechanism for publishers to push patches for retail games! /s

Although this *is* Ubisoft we're talking about, I guess.

Oh man, Binding of Isaac is such a good game. Definitely buy it if you don't already own it on something else, and you like Rogue-likes.

Yeah, I thought for sure that Indie sale was going on for another week, but I was confusing it with the Ubisoft sale.

Ah well, the only title I really wanted was Giana Sisters, and it'll go on sale again before you know it.

I was also considering the Trine titles, but the demo was a bit of a turnoff. Bleh.

Well...most roguelikes are fully turn-based and a big part of the enjoyment is the high number of choices you have at any moment, things you can draw on from your inventory like wands or scrolls thrown weapons or spells, fight or flight, that sort of thing. I've seen Binding played for long periods of time and it's more twin stick shooter than roguelike.

It's a parody of the Jack Chick comics, conservative Christian comics telling you you're going to hell. And yeah, the imagery still makes me uncomfortable sometimes. For years I could not beat Mom, I only did in the Ps4 version, so it's the easiest version in a sense.

It's one of the few games to have anything to say about abandonment. I give it points for that. I don't like the visual style either, but that and the loose storytelling themes kind of go hand in hand.

I also really like how it plays and the absurd amount of power-ups and permutations you can find and earn.

There's actually quite a bit of neat ideas going on in the game though (you still might not like the gameplay). Google up "Defense of Binding of Isaac fundamentalism" if you're curious.
