Gideon seems super good. Becomes a beater with a relevant creature type, creates a dude with a relevant creature type, and is even worthwhile if you know he won't stick around for a turn since he can "ultimate" right when he hits the board.
Titan's Presence actually seems like it could see play in MUD Stompy in Legacy. Instant speed removal that doesn't require any colored mana seems really good, especially in a deck that runs stuff like Wurmcoil Engine and Sundering Titan.
