    Well, I suppose aquilus could modify an implied masculine subject, and the verb 'esse' could be implied as well.

    The order of the words would be wrong, but latin is pretty fluid, so it's not all that important.

    So he could keep Canem Aquilus and just have it mean "The Brown Man is a dog."
