    Kinda close to the topic. I was visiting my folks the other week and my 15 year old sister who is pretty intelligent for her age was watching this "The Hills" show on MTV.

    Should I find a way to sterilize her before she starts making babies?

    I watched 5 minutes of it and felt like I needed to read some Vonnegut or Emerson and scrub my brain clean.

    My sister is not an idiot. I half think she was embarrassed to tell me she watches it so she can have something in common with her friends. But sufficeth to say it was pretty agonizing.

    We got our first perma-snow around Weds/Thursday last week. Colorado Low came up and dumped a few inches on us (plus some freezing rain for good measure).

    We're picking up another inch or two today/tomorrow. Luckily it's been pretty temperate, I don't think it's dropped below -10 celcius yet.
