The closest I've come to being into indie music is having the "MMM-MMM That's some good poopin'!" poster from Questionable Content pinned to my bathroom door.
How about some weird occult-rap, is the quality of that controversial
I love Jedi Mind Tricks.
Jedi Mind Tricks is top notch music.
The Non-Prophets are awesome as well when it comes down to weird occult-rap, or what I consider to be rap that I like.
I'll have to look those guys up. I love Jedi Mind Tricks so hard.
Have you ever heard of Mixmaster Mike? He was basically this crazy DJ who makes pretty good electronica and all, but all of it is meant to be communication with flying saucers he legitimately, passionately beleives in. It's fuckin' fantastic, he uses the best weird samples, and it's just great hard techno.
I loved every song on the indie station in GTAIV (Radio Broker I think it was?). I am not an 'indie dude' and I can't stand the fans, but the music was pretty damn good. That station introduced me to like five groups I still listen to.

That sounds neat, using his music to try and communicate with aliens, wasn't that done in a movie once?
I am going to have to go and check out that DJ.
You should really go and check out Non-Prophets, they bring class act music to your ears.
They are in my top three when it comes to rap that I like.

Damn, dogg, that's some pretty high praise. I am looking for 'em now.
Also music has always pretty much been regarded as one of the best ways to attempt to contact aliens, but not really via crazy electronica. I mean, SETI broadcasts scales and stuff from a keyboard all the time, but Mixmaster Mike is just crazy enough to assume that should extend to...whatever it is he does.

boys who wear girl clothes that do not want to be girls terrify me
I'm looking at you, Joe Jonas.
why not just eat some poop ice cream while you're at it
Also holy hell Sara, that image is in my head now. Bah.

Oh my God are you serious
Coffee has been my favorite flavor of Ice Cream since I was like four
Steam
Yeah, seriously. Coffee is the best flavour of ice cream.
Others come close, but none equal the deliciousness that is coffee ice cream.
i mean i guess i can see the appeal but i'd rather eat pretty much any other flavor
like some chocolate peanut butter, god DAMN
with my system, it's like a never ending cavalcade of flavours
i am never stuck with one for a long time because i can always switch up my toppings
Also, in the spirit of the thread, I propose the Libertines to be the best indie band ever and Pete Doherty is an amazing musician.

See, this is the right idea.
Vanilla ice cream provides a wonderful base for any number of toppings.
Vanilla is the most flexible of ice cream flavors, the others are far too overbearing.
pretentious indie wanks like the mountain goats suck
oh lord do the mountain goats suck
To be fair, it is an awesome poster.
I like the Decemberists.
Does that make me edgy and hip?
Edit: Why is every other post I make a TotP?
GoFund The Portland Trans Pride March, or Show It To People, or Else!
Naw, man, the Decemberists are just excruciatingly pretentious.
(I like them to but I can only listen to them once in a blue moon because I feel like a peener)
i haven't heard anything about them in like a year
Bloc Party used to be awesome but now they suck, in the tradition of all popular bands.
I love Jedi Mind Tricks.
Because Liquid Swords is some creepy shit and I love it more then anything.
Hadouken! and MGMT are not very good though
Naw, man. The Wu rocks but it's no Jedi Mind Trick in terms of weirdness.
In regards to Liquid Swords, though, I actually like Legend of The Liquid Sword by GZA almost as much. It's a hella good album.

Yeah, I love JMT, too. If you haven't yet, listen to R.A. the Rugged Man. He isn't occult, but he's pretty excellent.
Song with Jedi Mind Tricks and R.A.
now it's all about dance music and garage punk and stuff
hipsters listen it doesn't sound good stop pretending it does
