Argh, sometimes this game succeeds in pissing me off. I was playing it earlier today just fine, but now whenever it has to load an area, whether by going through a door, wait, sleep, fasttravel, anythign involving loading besides the initial load, the game crashes. Would it be mod related, but nothing has changed?

"I don't want to set the world on fire..." is playing on Heroes...Sylar's real dad likes Fallout 3, I guess.
Unarmed characters are fun. Nothing beats running up to a behemoth in a vault 77 jumpsuit and a baseball cap with a set of spiked knuckles and punching it in the tibia till it dies. Seriously though pulling 75 dmg punches at level 11 is pretty ballin in my book.
Please forgive me for rambling but I'm in the process of downloading Operation Anchorage from Windows Games Live or Live for Windows Game or whatever the fuck it's called.
This is the most convoluted piece of shit I have ever been forced to use. First of all, all the text on the download screen are boxes. That's right. No legible text, just fucking boxes. I also had to hotfix my fucking OS. Yes that's right, I had to hotfix my fucking XP just to use this piece of shit. And then I had to click a million times just to buy some bullshit fucking points. What the fuck is a point system? What the fuck is that? Just put the goddamn price next to the fucking game you Redmond fucking nimrods. ARGH!
It's like this Live for Windows Games bullshit was put together by a team of castrated monkeys with cattleprods shoved up their asses. Do they really think this is as intuitive as Steam?
As AVGN would put it, what a shitload of fuck!
Okay... now back to necroporn...

This mod adds three new Energy Weapons-based sniper rifles, which shoot a powerful blue laser beam and are highly accurate. They require knowledge of Energy Weapons to become more adept with.
You can buy the Liberty Rifle at Craterside Supply in Megaton or at Flak and Shrapnel's in Rivet City; these vendors also sell a random amount of extra Microfusion Cells so you've always got access to more ammo for the rifle.
The Sovereign Rifle is a unique item held by one Commander Jabsco. Seek him out within Fort Bannister. This more-powerful version requires a special type of ammo: Electromagnetic Microfusion Cells (EMF Cells) of which there are a limited supply. You'll find a certain amount of them on Jabsco himself, as well as a few more in the same area you meet him in. You can find more in a couple other places. Check where you would think you might find rare munitions.
For the hardcore, a third rifle, the Insurrectionist's Rifle, is available. It must be crafted using the Sovereign Rifle. To find out how, you must search for the Keller Family and also accept Crowley's quest, but use the keys yourself. For more information if you're still lost, see the spoilers section at the end of this ReadMe.
The Liberty Rifle and Sovereign Rifle can be repaired with any of the following:
- Liberty Rifle
- Sniper Rifle
- Plasma Rifle
The Insurrectionist's Rifle can be repaired with:
- Liberty Rifle
- Electromagnetic Microfusion Cell
You cannot use the Sovereign Rifle nor the Insurrectionist's Rifle to repair any other item.
Ammo locations and Item IDs can be found at the end of this ReadMe in the SPOILERS section, along with locations for the Sovereign Rifle and the Insurrectionist's Rifle quest. You read the SPOILERS section at your own risk due to the locations of some of the items; you WILL find out about other quests!
So apparently I killed Flak & Shrapnel. This prevents me from buying the weapon.
Do you guys know the command to respawn them?
you can also buy the gun from moira
alsthough im going to delete this mod, because a few teaks to the wattz mod is all i really wanted

Yeah except Megaton go boom too.
Moira doesn't get all exploded even after nuking Megaton. She hangs out at the crater for a bit then heads to Underworld.

I had to reinstall the latest patch and delete all of my temp files (profile, OS, everything) to make it stop doing this.
So I just finished the Anchorage DLC and ran into either a glitch, or a story twist that I missed.
I stepped out of the simulator and went to grab the loot out of the armory. While I'm in there, some of the outcasts start shooting at the others. After the one group kills the other, they come into the armory and start shooting me. Is this just a very weird glitch, or is there some twist about how some of the outcasts didn't want to let the local take any of the stuff while the others did?

the surly guy basically doesnt want you to get any of the loot, but the leader does. The surly guy and like 4 other outcasts open fire on the leader, Olin, and you.
You can save both of them relatively easily. Just know its going down.

Simpsons treehouse of horror 17 - "The Ink Spots song "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" is played over a charred post-apocalyptic landscape, in a possible homage to the Fallout series (the series is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, and often uses songs by the Inkspots; the newest installation, Fallout 3, used the very same song for its first trailer as well as the game itself.)" - wikipedia. The shot they show when they play it is really similar to the first fallout 3 trailer too.

Guys the Windows Live marketplace won't let me buy points. Every time I try to enter my credit card information it just directs me to a page that says "Sorry, this page is unavailable". What the fuck is going on?

Try buying points through the Zune marketplace. They're the same points.... right? Are PC and xbox points the same? Am I going mad?

Yeah but all she does is repair for me, so I can't buy but.
But whatever. Playing through A:O made me want to go explore the Wasteland again. So I headed off to Oasis...
I decided to kill Harold, but since I'm evil, I realize now that the really dick thing to do would be to make him grow faster. Good thing I made a save before I made my choice. Time to go back and make Harold misreable.

I read somewhere that a few of the writers of the Simpsons are big Fallout fan, and wrote the song into the closing of the story as a homage.

Is there an "evil" way to do that quest? He's happy if you make him expand, he's happy if you kill him... is he angry/sad if you use the other liniment and slow his growth?

I know this is off topic, but I really hate MS points. If something costs $10, just charge me $10 please.

They won't, for the same reason hot dog buns never come in packages of 10, like hot dogs do...
or is it the other way around?
Oh I know. It's just another way to nickel-and-dime the shit out of consumers. It's the reason I like Steam so much better, but for now MS has monopolies on lots of products.

Quoting since this was ignored. :P
I've also noticed that at the same time these crashes started happening, the main menu music would continue to play during playtime. Normally it would do like normal, the music would stop and game music with start, but now, I have to turn on a radio to cut off the menu music. I've disabled Ipip because that was the last thing I installed, but that wasn't it, and loading a previous save did nothing to fix it either.
