Backburner is good for some parts of some maps. In fact, its usually useful.

Hint, if you arent getting behind the enemy regularly, you are probably playing pyro wrong.

its only function is to slow down the game, making large sections of the map off-limits unless you have an uber ready.
    That's kind of the point.

like the other dudes were saying there's nobody that's like "wow, that's a really good engineer"

because all there is to it is putting your sentry in the right place, and maybe getting a tele behind them occasionally

if you put it in the wrong place it will die almost instantly, so you quickly learn the places to put and then hey you have more or less mastered your engineering class

34 hours, engy is my most played class, just a couple of things.
    1. Sentry Camping is extremely boring, i never do it, as you're normally just sitting there whacking until a spy or ubercharge steamrolls you
    2. A good tactic is to set up a sentry in a vital path, and with shotgun in hand run around behind the demoman who's trying to sticky spam you, won't work against multiple enemies though
    3. Also support engy at the start of a round is something i only seem to ever do, i'm going to play as a scout anyway, so why not start as an engy, help other engies set up and then swap over before the round starts

Even still he's a pretty boring class, i pretty much just set up some shit and then go rush with 5 of my team-mates, all the while thinking i could be playing a scout right now... and that sentry will probably get sapped in 5 seconds

Def. a bit screwey and I just love the leaf blower. It's good fun for a Demoman to see his stickies roll back towards him while you clear hte way for your team. And if I get behind a guy with a regular flame thrower, he's usually dead without the crits anyway. Plus, ROCKET TENNIS!!!

Engineers on asian servers are always hackers it seems. 5 turrents, picking up and moving turrents, stacking turrents, multiple teleporters, etc. It makes playing a Demoman so much more enjoyable when you blow up like 12 buildings at once.

So airblasting is so fun. I played pyro most of yesterday just focusing on using that whenever possible. It is absolutely hilarious and satisfying reflecting rockets back at a kritz'd medic/soldier.

Also airblasting a baseball back at a scout then flaming/axestinguishing him.

Edit: also also hadouken killing 3 people at once. This is fun too.

If the defending team manages to push you back to your spawn it is no surprise that they spawn camp. The defending team is hardly going to do 'welp, we pushed them this far but, alas, it is too far. We have defended too well. Quickly, move the front line back so that we may aid our opponents!'

If you're talking about gydan (and I suspect you are) I don't blame red for spawn camping, I blame the map for being awful. Whenever someone on my team complained about spawn camping I'd remind them that's there's nowhere for red to GO except to our spawn. There's no other place to really defend A except right outside the spawn doors of blue. It's much too cramped. There's three exits to blue spawn and they all lead to the same place.

Airblasting with any kind of success seems to be predicting rockets. Long range airblasts never really result in anything unless they're crits so most of the time it's short range and you just have to almost guess when the soldier will shoot since there's such a small window to do it after you for sure see a missile coming towards you.

Airblasting rockets back at turrets is useful sometimes too, especially if they're in a position where you can pop in and out of the range easily and aren't forced into its firing range.

Short-medium range is where I had the most luck. Since you can't fire it as fast as soldiers shoot rockets, if you don't kill anything on the second blast, you're probably dead.
