Making the trip up Mt. Coronet right now. I can't wait to start trading over my dedicated catchers and synchronizers and the whole 9 yards.
I'm so glad synchronize works on legends in D/P/Pt. Soft-resetting 500+ times for a Mewtwo in FR over the course of a few weeks and never finding one good enough was enough for me to put that game down indefinitely.
So guys, can you bulk-transfer your pokes from D/P to Plat. using Pokemon Ranch on Wii, or is my only real option to do it the old fashioned way with 2 DSes?
Only way is 2 DS's. Pokemon ranch is tied to your specific game cart.
When is the point of no return on the Coronet summit? Like, if I want to head back to a Pokemon Center to switch out some team members before the Giratina encounter?
I don't remember being able to get Rotom after the second gym. That's awesome.
Goodbye, Misdrevious. Your moveset kind of sucks.
Doesn't Rotom's moveset and stats and, well, everything kinda suck?
Absolutely not!
I mean, its no Gengar but few pokemon are.
I think Mismagius might also be better with a couple of TMs, but Rotom is a great little pokemon. If its new forms were available for online play then it would be even better still.

as soon as you go to the summit (spear pillar), and the double battles start. although im not sure if you are locked after the 2 grunt battle or the double battle afterwards.
I think you're allowed to leave the whole place before you jump into the Distortion world. Could be wrong though, I didn't try to do it. It didn't look like anyone was still there that would stop you.

You can freely leave after the first battle on the summit (the 2 grunts). I've already checked for Plat, and I'm pretty sure it's the same in all 3 games.
I ask because this part of the game has changed quite a bit. Cynthia says she'll give you time to get ready before chasing Cyrus, so I assume I'm free to leave and return.
So, is Platinum better than Diamond and Pearl? I'm thinking about picking up one of the new games, but I can't decide which one to go with. Even though platinum seems like the obvious choice, I want to make sure.
Also, how does Platinum's difficulty compare to Diamond/Pearl? I'm asking because I think someone told me that Emerald was much harder than Ruby/Sapphire and I was wondering if Platinum was the same way.
Edit: Whoops, bad timing. I'll ask again in the new thread in a bit.

It's not great. +speed, -special attack. If you're just using him to beat the game, he'll be fine.
Sneasel for one.
